I actually woke up feeling lousy. I seem to run on full steam and ask too much from myself, perhaps, possibly, ok definitely on a few, ok most days! So, I had a word with myself, quite a stern one in fact and said "NOTHING must be done today".
I actually said to myself "BED" once I had completed the school run. Funnily enough that did not happen but, Nurofen took the edge off and I have whiled away my day in the most pleasurable way in Gypsy (check out the pictures below). I AM SO HAAAAAPPY, and boy that's nice to say!
But back to the start of the day – a mad 30 mins (foolish, but true! ) to evacuate the house with fed, clean, and Ultrasunned children, off we set to school.
Dan is away kayaking, each to there own. So I deposited Joe and Maddie with my lovely neighbour and set off on my 20 mile round trip to take Tom to school. Yesterday that trip happened three times… so 60 miles.
It's a killer with petrol, let alone the three hours it takes, but as yesterday was a review meeting about Tom and his progress it was a necessary extra! And do you know to hear that they are so enjoying him, he has loads of friends, everyone loves him and yes, he is absorbing so much was perhaps another reason for the happiness I feel today.
I dressed in my new Ingenue maxi skirt and a little black vest , pearls from Honora with the happy backs (oh how apt!) and I realised I couldn't live without QVC as just this morning I had…
Cleansed me with my Elemis Milk Math, my face with Emma Hardie's Cleansing Balm (to be featured in Julia's Customer Favourites show on Saturday at 10pm) applied Ultrasun, then moisturised with StriVectin. I've been so impressed with this ,it's the one with the pink writing on.
The launch of Sarah McNamara's new skin transformer I was testing prior to the launch has enabled those 30 minutes of rushing a smidge easier, technically one doesn't need to moisturise but I did and then a quick application followed by New CID lip gloss, a swish and a swipe of shimmer brick and Smashbox mascara and Daltons bronzer, tangle teezed and clipped up my Elasticized hair and finished with a squish of Liz Earle 100…now breathe some more!
The kitchen clean up next, plus dog, cat and chickens breakfast to do. I then had a need to polish my Peony orchid's leaves…as you do! I shall be with Julie on Saturday at 4pm and Sunday too. I never thought I would be a lover of faux, but Peony are superb.
As its drama, swimming and cubs later a speedy tea is needed and to be transported to swimming – don't you just love the chaos of activities.
I've been trying out and really loving the TSV for Friday 14th, a brilliant lightweight soft, collapsible picnic box with an inside that keeps all food chilled, plus it comes with two bags which I've found brilliant for transporting Tom's ingredients for his culinary delights produced weekly at school.
He's good; obviously has his fathers genes! I've used it loads and we've barely started our summer so a perfect time to buy and let's face it easier storage than the big solid beast I caught my mummy filling up with tasty treats last week!!!
Gus has become a one year old big boy this week. I love our walks and I particularly love how he boings through the longer grass, sometimes ssssh in the crop bit, ooooh no we'll be in SUCH trouble. Still when whistled he is back like a shot, shame not quite so obedient still about the sofa and our new outside day bed….caught!!
Mummy's new man is not only responsible for making her super happy and sparkly, adored by Tom, Joe and Maddie (and me! ) he just so happens to be super skilled and he made them for me as a present for my birthday in March.
They are totally beautiful and I have really loved recharging my happy battery and playing in my little extra home! I have been writing this to you on her steps, that was until the iPad decided it was too hot and shut off to cool down! Spoil sport!
As I waited for it to cool down though I had a wander around the garden and thought I would share these few pics with you – a few moments from my day, my 'happy' day!
I really hope you've had a happy day, do share.
With Lots of love
