The sun has got his hat on!

Pipa wearing her handmade bonnet Hey there, how are you all? It’s Monday morning, the start of another week. I love the fact that we kicked off the New York shopping spree last night – I had the New York skyline behind me and every time I looked down at the monitor screens I felt like David Letterman!!!
So, I have to say it’s been a marvelous weekend! On Saturday, we had our local village Flower Show which, despite a bit of rain, was a resounding success (thank goodness for my Windguard umbrella which I can use with just one hand and therefore eat candy floss with the other!!!). Then on Sunday we mooched about, did a bit of gardening, ate lots of leftovers, fell asleep on the sofa and then went to work in the afternoon! Fantastic!!
You’ll notice my 'beautiful' bonnet in the photo above?? I actually made it for my daughter to wear at the Flower Show on Saturday. There was a competition for the littlies from the Nursery to enter after their performance of 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' and 'The Sun Has Got His Hat On'. Being not quite the exhibitionist that her mother is, she point blank refused to wear it, which meant that I had to join the other 4-year-olds instead!!!

Heaven forbid the hat wasn’t worn, come on, I HAD to!!! Sadly I didn’t win (I guess the prize was right to go to a 4-year-old!!)… but I did manage to buy myself a couple of tomato plants, a chilli plant and a beautiful little rose bush… which of course I shall be feeding with my Richard Jackson FLOWER POWER!!!! and spraying with my SPRAY AND GROW!!!
Joy of Joys, the sun indeed has got his hat on, HIP HIP HIP HIP HIP HOORAYY!!! Even though he does need an umbrella periodically!!!

We kicked off the weekend at home on Friday night with a make-up demonstration party, which about 25 women showed up to!!! It’s amazing how much make-up I have!! So we talked bareMinerals, Bobbi Brown, Shavata, Benefit, Laura Geller and Cargo, and discussed concealer vs. eyebase, blush vs. bronzer, liquid vs. mineral foundations, black vs. colour mascara, cream vs. kohl vs. powder eyeliners, open pores, eyebrows, lipgloss… THE LOT!!

It was a brilliant and LATE night!! In fact, I still haven’t quite cleared it all up!!! And I can’t begin to tell you how much chocolate still exists in my house - it’s sooo tempting!!!!
Hope you have a great week, I’ll try to blog again in a few days… oh and catch up with me on
Pipa x x
