The QVC Botanical Garden Party

2

Julian Ballantyne and Richard Jackson at the Botanical Garden Party 2010 You know what it's like when gardeners get together, we just talk and talk. And that's why I was a little hoarse for last Saturday's show.

We'd just returned home from a fantastic two day QVC customer event at the beautiful Birmingham Botanic Gardens. Over 300 customers attended and enjoyed tours of the garden, a Champagne reception and a sumptuous lunch, which was followed by a gardener's question time. Much to everyone's delight, Julian came along too and he was on top form – mind you, his jokes are getting worse than ever!

I was amazed what a diverse group of gardeners watch QVC. We had beginner gardeners who are just discovering what fun it can be, as well as some really experienced experts including a judge for the Royal National Rose Society (who publically complimented us about our choice of varieties in the rose Today's Special Value offer earlier this spring) and a gentleman who specializes in South African plants like proteas.

Once home, I started preparing for our next Today's Special Value, which goes on air tonight and all day Tuesday. It's a collection of five fabulous giant flowered patio gerberas, a beautiful, easy-grow plant that produces huge daisy flowers all summer.

The secret is to keep it out of the hot midday sun and to feed it once a week with Flower Power. That way each plant can produce up to 30 long-lasting flowers this summer. I'm very excited about it, it's the most breathtaking new patio plant of the year. Don't miss out on what is predicted to be the most talked about showstopper of the summer.

Happy gardening!

Hi Richard, I was lucky enough to be one of the invited guests at this event and want to say a big thank you for such a wonderful treat. It was a fabulous day all round. It was only seeing your passion for gardening on QVC that started my being interested in gardening. I’m now outside almost everyday watering and looking forward to seeing many lovely plants this summer. Keep up the good work, your enthusiasm is catching.
    Many thanks, Melody

We have recently purchased a packet of Richard Jackson’s ‘Flower Power.’ A fantastic buy, worth every penny. What a difference this formula has made to ALL of our plants and flowers. Just wished we had bought it sooner.
To any gardener thinking of buying this product, please don’t hesitiate, the results you will get will be brilliant.
