Guest Marjolein reveals our upcoming Pilates TSV

Marjolein Brugman AeroPilates is a lifestyle and complete body toning workout which was developed by Marjolein Brugman after her rehabilitation from a car accident 15 years ago. It was during this time that she discovered the profound benefits of Pilates.

We caught up with Pilate's expert Marjolein at AeroPilates to get insider info on this amazing new machine as well as some top Pilate's tips.

Tell us a bit about your new 4300 machine and the benefits of using it?

Our new 4300 model incorporates a unique 'pull up' bar which expands the number of exercises you can perform (over 25 new routines) and adds a whole new area to your workout. This enables the user to focus directly on the upper body while still engaging the core abdominal muscles.

The design also incorporates many other popular features, including raised pulleys for extra comfort, a power cord for extra resistance, easily adjustable rope lengths, the cardio rebounder and the compact dimensions of a 3 cord machine.

Can anyone take up Pilates?

Whatever you age or level of fitness, whether you're 4ft 6" or 6ft 6"; 18 or 80, you can take up AeroPilates which can help you become 'fit for life'. People who take up AeroPilates often say they have never felt younger! Joseph Pilates even claimed Pilates was the 'fountain of youth'.

How often should Pilates be practised?

Like hundreds of thousands of others, you too can expect to see, feel and experience profound changes in your body, mind and spirit. Unlike many other exercise regimes it can be practised daily. As a minimum, users should commit to 20 minutes at least three times a week. For the sake of a few minutes a day, you can help to eliminate stress in your life, correct posture, reduce chronic pain and improve how you look and feel.

What is it about Pilates that you most enjoy?

I adore the workout and over the years have found it to be addictive to the point of becoming upset when I cannot get to a machine. After every workout I just feel better in every way (in conjunction with a sensible balanced diet of course). Pilates can help you achieve your weight-loss goals.

Keep your eyes peeled for the AeroPilates 4300 Today's Special Value on Sunday 15th May.

I have a Pilates premiere machine which I purchased many years ago from QVC and would like to get an aeroboard to fit. Are these likely to be stocked in the near future?

I also have a machine that I purchased a few years ago – just as everyone switched from video to DVD. So I too would like to know which DVD’s are suitable and would an aeroboard fit my machine? Then maybe I will be able to start using my machine!!

How do I join one of Marjolein’s workshop?

I too would love to be able to add the new improvements to my present machine. It is a reformer in perfect condition so I would not wish and could not afford to upgrade to a total new machine. However I would love to add perhaps the new shape foot bar or the latest improvement which is the upper body bar. This would add to your sales if offered perhaps at a later date to the new machine launch. I think most women would comment that the parts of their body that they would like to improve are stomachs and upper arms. I use my machine regularly and also take a pilates class.
    Thank you Jane (-:

Thanks for getting in touch. If you could please register you details and interests with QVC, they can contact you next time there is a master class workshop. We haven’t confirmed one for the near future as of yet, but we will make sure our QVC customers our informed first.
    I hope that helps, :)
