The perfect end to the perfect summer

Craig and friendsHi there!!

How are you? Apologies for not blogging for a few weeks, I have been such a busy boy and, as I speak to so many of you on twitter and Facebook, I feel like we are always connected. But I do realise lots of you like staying in touch on this blog so I will write one hundred lines and try to be better, honest!

How was your summer? I have to say mine was truly wonderful and September was just the most amazing month. My birthday is 22nd September (yes, I am a Virgo) and it's always a special time for me. Not just because it's my birthday but I really love the energy of September, it's still warm, the leaves are starting to change and generally people seem to have had their hearts lifted by a few months or more of sun and light. Do you have a favourite month of the year?

This September I spent a few days in Ibiza, I hadn't been since I was 25! I did do lots of partying but I can definitely say the recovery time at 40 is quite a bit longer, haha! The weather was very up and down with clear blue skies one hour and torrential storms the next. It was really wonderful and I met some fantastic people, some of whom I am still in touch with so that's really special.

I also celebrated another birthday – had a lovely lunch in an italian brasserie (ok, strictly speaking a brasserie is always french but it was that kind of relaxed, easy going atmosphere), then had drinks at a roof top bar in London with great views, then ended off the day watching Downton Abbey – it was so great to get all my best friends together.

Then, this last weekend I was my cousins wedding in Portugal. I had never been to Portugal before, what a beautiful country and how lucky to be blessed with glorious weather in October! Myself and my beloved family stayed 6 days so there was lots of special time together and the wedding itself I can only describe as one word.. perfect! We even managed to squeeze in a little late night yoga! It really was the most perfect end to what for me, has been the perfect summer.

Coming up this week at QVC I will be hosting the Auction and Donation room at the annual Breast Cancer Care event which I am so excited about. Then next week I will be launching the latest Dyson TSV; I can't tell you too much at the moment but lets just say it's cordless, compact, powerful and it's getting my floors looking good, especially my grey tiled kitchen and bathroom floors because of a new feature…. all will be revealed!!

As always here are my 3 FAVOURITE THINGS for this blog, would love to know yours!!

HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK: spending time with my sisters and two beautiful nieces, as well as my cousin Maurice and his beautiful wife Sarah at their wedding in Portugal – the whole day was magical.

FAVOURITE PRODUCT OF THE WEEK: the upcoming Dyson TSV – my kitchen floor has never looked so good!!

HAPPY THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: being at the wedding with family I rarely see reminded me that time and distance don't ever affect the love and affection you have for others. When people are special to you, there is nothing that can take that away.

Hope you liked this blog and the photos, see you soon!

Big, big hugs,

Craig xxx

    Ah Mr Craig
How lovely to see a blog!!!! It sounds like you have had a great summer indeed!!! You were fab on the BCC evening last night – so full of energy – fresh batteries????
My summer not so great with the alopecia, vertigo, blurred vision and a trip to hospital the other week by ambulance due to severe chest pains!!! I am hoping that things will start to return to normal fairly soon as it is all getting a bit much!! However I think the alopecia is the hardest thing to deal with but at least my mate who recently battled cancer can share “bald heads”. Thankfully hers is growing back thicker and stronger – although she says she is now grey and isn’t happy!!!!
I suppose countdown now to Christmas is starting, Christmas cake is made, one present bought….. might have to step up the pace a bit!!!
Highlight: Having a day off work and spending it in the garden – peace and quiet!
Product: Not a QVC I am afraid but the brand “balance me” face wash is my new friend!
Thought: That Deb’s will soon be without her wig!!
    Take care lovely Craig

    Hi Sarah,
Great to hear from you! Sorry for the delay. Thanks so much for watching the BCC Evening. It was such great fun and good to raise some money for such a good cause.
Sorry to hear you’ve not been too well over the summer, hope you start to feel better soon. Its good that you have your friend Deb who sounds lovely.
Wow! Well done on getting preparations started for Christmas! I need to get started on mine actually.
Hope you enjoyed your day in the garden. I love spending time in my garden when its sunny!!! Its bliss!
You take care of yourself and relax when you can.
    Craig xx
