The Great Bibby/Huntley Night Out!

Catherine and Dawn  Hello again! Well, I must say it is very rare for me to go out these days, apart from the odd lunch or dinner. It's even rarer for Dawn (our crafting expert) and I to get together for a proper night out.

We recently got our diaries out and planned to go out on the weekend just gone as Dawn was due to come off air at 5pm on Saturday. This was going to be perfect as I was going to get the house all tidied and prepared for Dawn and husband JJ to visit.

Then Dawn's hour got moved to 9pm so we called it off but I was really in the mood to go out so Steve and I went to a lovely local Tapas restaurant and then on to a nice Champagne bar for a glass or two.

JJ and Dinky Ok, one or two glasses of bubbly later I decided to text Dawn and see if she still wanted to come after she finished at QVC thinking she and JJ would be too tired. But they jumped at the invitation and we had a fabulous time dancing, singing along to music and generally letting our hair down for once!

Dawn hard at workWe took a few piccies on our camera phones. Mine didn't come out too well but there are a few from the morning after I thought you'd enjoy…don't worry, I asked their permission before showing these and, luckily, they are great sports!

Ooh, by the way, they were offered a proper bed or an aerobed but they flat out refused and flomped right where they were! Didn't want you thinking I'd just dump the Queen of Craft and her hubby on the floor and sofa for the night!

Are you making the most of these bleak midwinter nights? What have you been up to lately to let off steam?

Catch you soon,

Catherine x

Hi Catherine, I think it’s because you and Dawn get on so well that you come across as my favourite co presenter for Dawn’s craft shows. I too am cat mad and crafty I like that you too craft so you have a personal interest in what’s been shown. I have been having time in because of nasty weather with food and drink with a friend, chatting and watching TV. It’s good to do this especially when it’s cold.

Hi Catherine. Fun pics. Since January i have been using my stepper in evenings. Its the air climber one that was shown on New Years Day. I love it and find it easy to use but effective. Also my husband and i have the Handy trims so we have been doing that too. It’s much easier to stick at it when you do it together. After a good work out i then go off to the bathroom and enjoy using my Liz Earle products in the bath and on my face. I just got my Liz Earle TSV today, so tonight i shall be having a mini facial. Can’t wait. I love to see the photos of your cats too. We have one. A little girl called Sausage. They are great fun and good company aren’t they? Also, thanks for the info about the OPI Nail Envy. I am seriously thinking about giving the extension up and trying it. It looks like it definatly works.

Thanks for sharing that story with us, Catherine, I’m glad you all got to go out and let your hair down in the end. Dawn’s craft shows are my favourite on QVC and you’re my best presenter, so you’re a great team as far as I’m concerned! I’ve been lucky enough to meet Dawn once and yourself on a couple of occasions and, whenever I’ve met anyone from the QVC ‘family’, I’ve been struck by how down to earth and friendly they are, and those great pics really prove that xxx

Those pics are fab, thank for sharing.
It is very obvious you and Dawn are great pals as when you are on qvc together the 2 of you work so well and make it even more enjoyable to watch.

Hi Catherine -if I’d have known you were just around the corner I would have joined you all! – I’m in your area, totally in love with my cats and crafting (and QVC!) and always enjoy your shows together.
I’m a local writer and restaurant reviewer and so know very well the tapas you mean.
I would very much like to do an interview with you for local publication.
Everyone’s crafting (Saturn in Virgo means we get serious about it!)
I’d like to tie in the fact that we have one of QVC’s leading presenters living in our area along with Dawn’s phenominal national impact on home-crafting.
I was going to write in and then this afternoon you mentioned the blog which made it easier.
Do hope you will consider. Best wishes

Brilliant! Love these piccies, its great to see the other side of the professional faces we see on screen. You may remember me as Pickleypoo from way back when! Keep up the good work Catherine xxx

It is great to see presenters looking like ‘normal people’and letting their hair down. Is that a new kitten I spyed on JJ’s chest? You must let all us ‘cat lovers’ know what he/she is called. I think it is great when you can fill your life with craft and animals. Although it can be quite difficult to craft and play with kittens at the same time!. This is something I have become an expert at since the arrival of my 3 beautiful Birman kittens in October last year.
Carry on crafting, enjoying yourselves and looking after those wonderful cats.
    Tania :-)xxxx

Hello Catherine – absolutely loved it when you brought Dinky to the TV screen. I was going soppy in my lounge – good job no-one was here with me! I have 3 adorable cats, all varying ages, my little girl being over 19 years young, bless her! Love to watch you and Dawn together, because you are always so interested in what she is doing and I love the way you present things to us. Please keep us updated with piccies, etc of your three gorgeous pussybabes, and let me know if you have any more!! Love Georgie xx
