The fate of ‘Snowmeo and Juliet’

Regular blog readers may remember the lovely snow couple we created;

Jan snow 2010 031 Jan snow 2010 017

Gorgeous, aren't they? Well, they've had a wonderful life together and plenty of attention from people walking by but I think they'll soon be leaving us until the next snowy season returns.

This was them after they went a bit whiter on top and grew even closer. Mr Snowman leaning his head ever closer to Mrs Snowman's shoulder…who knows what they got up to when we weren't looking. Perhaps the odd snow smooch, maybe?

Snowcats etc 068

Today they look like they are either rather tired of standing up all their lives, taking a bow after a stunning performance as snow stars of our street or they are intently looking at something on the ground!

Snowmeo Juliet Poor Mrs Snowman's nipples have turned to dripples!

Well, we shall miss them and they've been great company. We hope either they or some of their snow friends or relatives will come and visit next snowtime.

For now though..we salute you, Snowmeo & Juliet! Thanks for the fun!

    Hi John,
    Sigh, too true! I once heard a lovely saying though;
    ‘Don’t be sad that it’s ending but glad it happened’

    As much as I love the summer, everything has looked so much nicer the past couple of weeks (even though getting to work has been a nightmare!).

    Hi Catherine
    Your Snow people were great. I had never made a snowman before even though I am 47! I just had to get out there and build one as the snow was so deep in Hertfordshire that I even got into my local newspaper! Fame at last!

    Hi Teresa,
    Thanks for the compliment on our snow folk. So pleased to hear that you not only finally made a snowman but also found fame through doing so!
    Big hugs and smiles,
    Catherine x

    What a lovely story, maybe an animation could be made out of it.
