Father Christmas did turn up with all the presents from Norway, although in the photo my daughter looks a little non plussed at the fact his beard had slipped a bit! It’s a shame that grandpa (Bestefar if you’re from Norway) was having a nap when Julenise came!
Hogmanay was round at a friend's house for a meal and the plan was not to be too late, as they have three young kids and we knew ours would be pretty tetchy if it got too late. We even had a taxi booked for 11.30 so as not to get carried away. Ahh!… drank too much, ate too much, laughed too much and had a great time! Got home to say happy new year and then… the lights went out! Luckily I wasn’t working until 3pm on New Years day!
2012 is set to be a real roller coster of a ride, with the Euro about to self destruct, the world's economies in a feast or famine state and people telling us there is a lot worse to come (that’ll teach me for staying up late and watching Newsnight last night!). The good news is, you can rely on QVC for being the same. If only everything in life was as reliable as QVC (ooh there might be an advert in that!!). Still, watch out for the odd surprise (you can always rely on us for those as well).
I hope whatever 2012 brings, you and yours have a healthy and happy new year!
