The birthstone for May is… Emerald!

2

Hello,

Well, at the risk of repeating myself… this year is simply racing by. Where did April go? It only feels like yesterday my Dad was playing an April Fools joke on me! I’ll spare you the details – it will only encourage him!

So the month of May is here which means it time to celebrate the birthstone for the month which, of course, is Emerald.

This truly enchanting gemstone has been cherished and loved for thousands of years. It’s arguably the most recognised member of the Beryl family being related to likes of Aquamarine and Morganite. The beautiful green is achieved with traces of chromium, vanadium and sometimes a helping hand from iron too.

There are a number of designs beautifully set with Emerald and here are a few which have caught my attention in particular.

Starting with this three stone ring crafted in white gold showcasing a wonderful example of Zambian Emerald with a Diamond on either side. The green is bright, lush and so vibrant.

Or a design I’m really drawn to is this sterling silver band, plated in rhodium and set with Emerald and White Topaz. I really like the way the line of Emerald runs across the band at an angle making it especially eye catching.

Finally I just love the classic styling of this halo ring. A stunning oval cut emerald framed with a border of diamond.

Jewellery is an area in which QVC has excelled for many, many years and of course you always have that peace of mind of your thirty day money back guarantee.

Enjoy your Emeralds!

See you soon

yes my birthstone, but why emeralds? Not really into green and no one else would be either after wearing it as a school uniform for 5 years! Though some shades are okay, there luckily are some great shades of emerald green around!
