You know at QVC we love to show you a before and after, with creams and hair styles and underwear and……. Well I thought I'd share with what goes into the process. It can be quite involved and does take longer than you'd think – but here's one we did earlier!
The Lilibeth eyebrow shaper has been very popular at QVC and although it is most often used for its primary purpose – to shape your eyebrows – it has another great use for guys; to tidy up the hairline on your neck in between haircuts. Our special guest, Jess Mandeville, who does the demonstrations has encouraged me to try it, so I have!
We started by taking a picture of the back of my neck and although I had been to the hairdresser a few weeks before, it was already looking a bit scruffy.
Then we went through to the studio so that Jess could tidy me up a bit, and we filmed this so we could use the footage in upcoming shows.
Then back to our 'lightbox' studio for the after picture…
Because you are trying to get two pictures exactly the same but you have moved in between, it takes a bit of time to get the same position, but 'Coopsy' (Paul Cooper, the photographer!) did a great job and announced very quickly: "That's a before and after!"
Now, Jess is not a hairdresser, but I think she did a great job and it certainly looks a lot smarter. And the great thing was, even though there was a lot of rather long and coarse hair to get through, it didn't hurt a bit!
Now, that's a before and after!
