The 10th anniversary of Honora Pearls

Honora logo I can't believe that Ralph Rossini and I will be together on Saturday for a spectacular three-hour show. Can you remember the first ever Honora Pearls show on QVC?

It seems like yesterday that I was asked to present the show; I remember how excited we all were to have such an important and prestigious company like Honora joining us. Their experience and knowledge had enabled them to create divine pearl jewellery for so many years, and it seemed they featured in every high-profile glossy magazine and adorned so many celebrities! Was it any wonder we were so excited? And now, 10 years later I still am SO thrilled to present the shows.

We all know the pearls are divine, but I reckon a certain someone who flies over from New York could well be a vital reason so many ladies (include me in that one) tune in to Honora Pearls… The Silver Fox himself, Mr Ralph Rossini!

Coloured pearls That first show was torture for Ralph as he was so very nervous (or so he says, though I promise you all I looked after him). However, I actually think he LOVES coming over to see you all now and I know how much he's looking forward to his anniversary visit, particularly as he has some delicious new pearls and colours to tempt us all with. In fact, as I write I have on my long, single strand of white pearls – just what's needed on a rainy Friday!

I shall bring in my wedding photograph for the show – if you've seen it before then apologies. Doesn't that totally prove how much I think of Honora pearls, to wear them on my wedding day?!

In fact it got me thinking of how often I wear my rather splendid Honora collection and how many of my friends and family I have bought Honora for over these 10 years.

What about you? I wish you could send your photos of you wearing your pearls…

I really do hope you can join Ralph and I on Saturday at 2pm and I know Ralph loves chatting with you, it goes without saying I do! So, it's a date then.

See you all tomorrow.

Love Claire x

Also, see what Claudia thinks of Honora Pearls.

Hi Claire…I love Honora pearls. My first purchase was the boxed set of 7 button pearls (think was a tsv couple of christmass’ ago.) Today I bought a set of stretch bracelets, and the long chocolate baroque strand. They are so so beautiful. I give earrings as little gifts-they are my secret!
I celebrated my 50th birthday this week, and my anniversary pearls were my present to myself for putting up with me for 50 years!! Btw…I love your hair longer! it looks fab!!
    Love Viv xx

Hi Claire, I’ve just read your moving account of the birth of Tom and how much he’s the centre of your lives.I do not have any direct experience of Down’s Syndrome myself, but as a midwife for some 35 years (now retired)I know how much comfort your words will bring to parents in similar situations. I have always believed that our children are loaned to us on trust, a trust very well placed in you and Dan. All love to you, Dan Tom, Joseph and Madeline

    Hi Claire,
Really enjoyed watching your programme with Ralph this afternoon. I love Honora and have loads of items. Please can you tell me how I can get in touch with Ralph -do you have an email for him or can it be sent on from QVC?

    Hi Claire,
I had to write and thank you for the most wonderful tenth anniversary I could have ever imagined. I know your fans will be confused to hear how sick you were during our show because it did not show at all. But I do know and I also know you probably should have been home in bed that day instead of being on air with me. All I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am truly touched that you did that for me and it made my anniversary all the more special. I am so happy that I was able to share it with you.
You are the absolute best and I will never forget it.
    All my love,

Sorry to hear you are ill, i too watched you with the lovely ralph, you are a real trooper. Hope your children are well, they are lucky to have such loving parents as Dan and yourself. Claire you are sadly missed you make watching QVC a pleasure the way you have every item on and modelling and it shows you do enjoy what you do. hi claire, just wanted to say that your experiences with tom are the same as we all experienced when my little sister (now 21) was born with downs syndrome, and i do believe that these children are given to special people who have the inner strength to look after them !!! My sister Roseanne had hole in the heart surgery at Great Ormond St Hospital when she was 3 as she would have died in teenage years otherwise, but is now healthy and just as stroppy as other teenagers !!!(so youve still got that to look forward to !!) I know you do have worries about toms future but i can tell you that my sister went to a Mainstream Junior and Secondary school and actually passed 5 GCSE’s !!!!! and is currently at college, so just to give you a little comfort that their lives can still be fulfilling and Tom can achieve whatever he wants to as there is no limits to what Down’s children can achieve nowadays.Hope this gives you a little comfort, all my love for the future jane xx
