It’s blissfully warm as I write my blog this morning. In fact the weather has been, on the whole, really good over the last few days here in London. How about where you are?
My Cairns love the sunshine and have a favourite spot in the garden where they nestle into the grass, with one of their many toys, and just while away the hours. Bliss!
I’ve had a busy week. Been playing lots of tennis but I have an unusual injury on my elbow? I’ve had tennis elbow before but this feels a little different. I won’t go into detail in case you’re not keen on medical descriptions – but it’s feels like a little piece of bone has broken off and is moving around at the very tip of my elbow! Sorry, probably too much detail! I’ve no idea what it is so I’d better get it looked at. I don’t want to risk losing precious time on court!
Despite being a huge fan of BBC1’s casualty I’d better not self-diagnose! I love that TV show. Charlie seems to have been in it forever and I really hope they bring back Nick Jordan.
On the subject of tennis, I’m thrilled to have received some tickets for Wimbledon this year. I entered the public ballot and am over the moon to have been offered tickets for centre court! Can’t wait. It’s a huge highlight of the year for me. Have you ever been? If you ever get the chance to go I highly, highly recommend it. You’ll have a fabulous day out and very importantly there is so much food on offer there too
I love to play tennis – as do my children. We’re members of a fantastic club where everyone, of all abilities, is made so welcome. Just as well, as when I first joined, I was all over the place!
I played for three hours on Sunday and shortly after went shopping to pick up some food for my children’s school packed lunches and potatoes for our roast dinner. Why am I telling you this…? Well I was recognised!
I don’t often get recognised but occasionally I do and it’s lovely to meet a viewer when out and about.
However, on the rare occasion when I am recognised I never seem to be at my best! Sunday was no exception. Bearing in mind I’d just played tennis (for three hours) it was my fourth day off work and I hadn’t shaved at all during my break. I think it’s important to rest from shaving… That’s my excuse!
I was paying for the groceries and the charming woman at the checkout said I looked very familiar to someone on QVC! I quickly looked myself over and thought… Yep, this is not one of my better looking days! She was lovely and we had a wonderful chat about QVC and I also returned the compliment saying how much I loved shopping in her store.
I headed home put the groceries away and had the most wonderful roast dinner. I’m no Jamie Oliver in the kitchen but I do seem to be a dab hand with the roast potatoes!
Time to dash as the glorious sunshine is tempting me out for a wonderful walk with my dogs.
In the meantime I have some fabulous shows on the way including Diamonds on Saturday 28th March at 9pm with an extra special treat in store for you and I’m also on air on Monday 30th at 5pm with Tiffany Style Lighting.
Time for a walk
