Well, I can’t believe a week has flown by since I last wrote letting you know about the start of the current season of Technology and You! Where did that week go?
It’s been a week of running here, there and everywhere with a little bit of sleep thrown in. Ever had weeks like that? My feet have barely touched the ground but I’m feeling good as I’m two weeks into a new healthy lifestyle including what I do and don’t eat, keeping fit through exercise and taking time for meditation (well, just quieting the mind and relaxing in order to recharge). More on that in a later blog, though.
I am completely absorbed in preparations for this month’s series of Technology and You. We’ve had lots of behind the scenes meetings to ensure we really are producing a show which helps those of us who want the benefits of technology but don’t necessarily know our gigabytes from our terrabytes!
We had a wonderful time on last week’s show. We had lots of really fantastic questions and suggestions – thank you so much. There was also praise for bringing the kinds of products many of you have been wanting to see. Well, I’m confident you’ll feel that way about this week’s programme, too.
My fabulous friend and technology guest extraordinaire, Lee Hohbein, is bringing us a fantastic Today’s Special Value (TSV). Just about the most incredible offering on a laptop that I can remember in a very long time. He’s been talking about it in Q Gossip. Click here to read more from Lee.
One of my favourite bits of essential technology kit is my Clickfree backup device. We have a great offer from Clickfree in this week’s show. If you’re not backing up your computer you are running the risk of losing photos, important stored documents and anything else you rely on your computer for.
We all know someone who has had this happen. It happened to one of our producers. All of his family photos including once-of-a-lifetime holiday snaps were lost and can never be retrieved. Absolutely horrible but he won’t be caught out again.
I highly recommend it also for transferring information from one computer to another. So many uses, and Lee will be on hand to guide us through them.
There will be the opportunity to get your questions and comments coming in to the show, and our very own Dale Franklin will be fielding your messages and directing them at our expert guests, so please feel free to get your questions coming in on Saturday at 3pm.
We’ve had some glorious weather in London this week. I haven’t managed to see all that much of it but it certainly has been summery and that always makes me smile. I hope you’re enjoying your summer too.
See you soon on the Q!
Love Catherine x
