tarte cosmetics are coming to QVC!

tarte make-upSince our Live in the USA show last autumn, where we launched the tarte Glosses – certainly on Twitter and at the Beauty Bash you have been getting frenziedly excited about QVC’s UK launch of tarte. It is not officially available anywhere else in the UK so this is going to be a shared beauty secret only with QVC shoppers!

It was founded by a lady who is not a make-up artist – Maureen Kelly is a shopper herself and a self-confessed beauty addict – aren’t we all?! When she searched for healthy make-up lines she became frustrated with the make-up when she was looking at their ingredient listings and also found that they were so uninspiring and boring.

tarte make-upHer mission, which she has definitely accomplished, is chic and exciting beauty products that give real results for real women but that are based on some great natural ingredients.

Because she is not an artist, it stands in your favour at home because when she tests the products, she is able to test that they are really easy to apply to make it effortless for you at home to get results.

She loves ingredients like Amazonian Clay in the foundations and Maracuja Oil (this will be a must-own – it’s her secret for a skin serum). Her range is green and glamorous and I love her phrase – 'Eco-chic'. Many brands that have tried to create a range of make-up along these lines have fallen short from a fashion or an up-to- date finish point of view, but not so with tarte.

tarte At a Gloss for Words Collection - 204982The lip glosses are an absolute must-have! They offer incredible high-fashion colour, and have a minty, plumping coolness on the lips with a very moisturising finish that lasts. I confess I have about 20 of these glosses now, sometimes with the good intention that I am going to let someone else try them, yet I can’t bear to give them away.

The foundations and concealer do give superb, creamy coverage with a very modern, magazine-smooth finish. The concealer especially, underneath and around the eye, gives complete coverage whilst still remaining a little bit hydrated and dewy looking which doesn’t show up the lines and wrinkles.

tarte make-up paletteThese are just a few of the products. Of course, there is the list of mascaras, lipsticks, tints etc. etc. Definitely put this date in your diary because if it’s anything like the preview last October, we had a complete sell-out situation and I haven’t tested a product that I haven’t liked yet across the whole range.

I can also confess that I have had some professional artists testing it and they have been absolutely ecstatic with the results in some of their model shoots and shows.

Join us for more from tarte on Friday 28th March at 2pm and 6pm.

Hello Alison, loving the Tarte foundation. Will it be possible to get more shades specifically Tan-Deep. I have light brown skin with yellow tones. Tried the Deep, but comes up as a red tone too dark also, so I am having to mix it with something else. I have placed an order for the Tan but I have just read on Tarte website it is for peach tones. Please ask if we can have Tan-Deep. Thanks
