Sunny London, healthy eating and my top picks this week at the Q!

6

Hello,

Hope you are well and thank you so much for reading my blog. A few things to mention this week:

What a joy it has been to have more sunshine! As you know I am a real sun baby so when the sun is out so am I! I went to a brilliant exhibition about colour and space (not outer space!) in the city and as well as a brilliant inside feature there was a whole area outside dedicated to design. I took centre stage again in the middle of the art!

I also had some wonderful time in Crystal Palace park where you can see the sunny scene and I’ve been making good use of my Ultrasun SPF 30 Activator. I love it – great protection whilst getting a great tan – the best of both worlds!

I have also been really trying to eat better and move more! I had a diagnosis recently of being pre-diabetic and have been given 12 weeks to get my blood sugar down. I even attended an NHS clinic called ‘Walk Away From Diabetes’, I learned so much. I will let know you know how I progress of course. It’s far harder than I thought to make changes as a) I love my food and b) I have such a sweet tooth.

One thing I have been enjoying is the Prime Fifty Maintaining Muscle protein shake, it’s really delicious and great to take before or after exercise to maintain muscle so it’s become part of my programme. I make it in my Nutri Ninja with water and add lots of ice, yum!

And when I really want something sweet I will prepare some fresh berries with Easiyo Greek yoghurt, some sugar-free muesli and a dash of maple syrup from Pure Maple.

Talking of being healthy, have you heard of the natural skincare range created by Jane Scrivner? We have a stunning hydration collection at QVC which I am about to start a trial of and will let you how I get on. You know how much I adore my natural skincare and oils… watch this space or order it and try it for yourself!

One thing to be sure to watch out for this week is a brilliant Today’s Special Value from Peony. In the photos you can see the olive tree option; a beautiful Mediterranean-looking faux plant perfect for your patio, conservatory or decked area of the garden. You can see it on my balcony and even against a rather uninspiring brick wall it looks stunning!

I also placed it on the landing of the stairs and you can see how great it looks against a plain white wall. I took a close up photo so you can see the detail.

When I was taking it out of QVC so many people stopped me and admired it, thinking it was real and when I got it home my neighbour did too! I will be showing it to you in my Peony show this Thursday at 10pm.

And on Friday at 2pm be sure to join the gorgeous Amanda Holden and I as we take you though another journey of BundleBerry (and hopefully get some behind-the-scenes gossip from BGT!)

So, here’s wishing you a great week and see you next week with news of the Roomba robot vacuum cleaner (hurrah!) and a stunning Kelly Hoppen special offer.

Big hugs as always,
Craig xx

    Hi Craig

I am so sorry to hear about your diagnosis, hopefully you will be able to reverse the results within the 12 weeks.

The tree looks beautiful, perfect my urban garden (balcony)! I will be sure to tune in.

I am super excited about the Roomba Robot! I have a Dyson cylinder and a handheld and have been trying to work out how I can justify getting the new super-duper dyson……I now have a week to work out how I can justify adding this to my wish list too! I think I may have gone to a vacuum bad place! 🙂

      Hey Amy!

Fantastic to hear from you again, hope you’re well.

Thanks, yes I’m hoping with my new diet I’ll be able to reverse it. It’s a bit of a wake-up call!

Treat yourself! The Roomba Robot is amazing! Definitely worth the upgrade!

Have a great weekend and hope you’re enjoying the sun.

      Take care.

      Craig x
