Lovely to be back with you all after a refreshing trip away, genuinely it is. Now we’re on the brink of summer, it means we are half way through the year so I’d like to revisit my New Year’s Resolution of practicing yoga and let you know it’s going really well. So well that my holiday I’ve just returned from was planned around yoga – well, that and food.
I was lucky enough to do yoga in some of the most spectacular settings; a platform over the sea, a cliff top and a lemon grove. I really have made it an integral part of my everyday life and I’m improving by the week. I’m edging ever closer to that elusive Dragonfly pose that I’m aiming for (see below) which currently ends in a splattered mess on the floor but my challenge is to master it before the year is out (and provide photographic evidence). For anyone who’s still not tried yoga I would still highly recommend it no matter what level you start at.
So if the mornings were taken up with yoga, then the rest of the day was usually a foodathon! My friends and I had a long lazy lunch every day and it was all simply delicious, mostly the meals were very good indeed and usually in a beach side restaurant. Ibiza is developing a reputation as a foodie’s paradise these days, attracting jetsetters from all over the world. Perhaps not protocol for fine dining but in one particular restaurant the waiter placed a duck dish I’d ordered in front of me and a quacked twice as he did so, rather random and quite a crowd pleaser!
The afternoons were spent on different beaches lazing on sun loungers under umbrellas with legs doused in UltrasunGlimmer SPF20. Well it was that way until Craig Rowe showed up and brought two full days of cloud with him, nevertheless we still had some good fun.
Roll on the next holiday, I’ve nothing booked yet but a few ideas up my sleeve. Any recommendations always welcome.
