Diane Gilman skinny jeansWe also have a fabulous upcoming Today's Special Value deal from Diane Gilman on Friday 19th July, offering flattering skinny jeans in four different colours. We caught up with designer Diane Gilman who revealed more about the upcoming TSV…

Why are Diane Gilman jeans so flattering?

Diane Gilman jeans are different from any other jean on the market! They are sculpted and proportioned for a real women's body, not a girl's, and they are more generous through the waist, hips and tummy area.

What makes these skinny jeans so special?

I always say "You don't have to be skinny to wear our skinny", because our skinny makes you look skinny without having to be skinny! They have a front rise which gives mild tummy control while the backrise gives a boost and the illusion of lifted roundness. And with great stretch through the wide waistband they promise you'll never get any muffin spill!

What are your top tips for styling these jeans?

I like more voluminous tops over a lean bottom silhouette. Skinnys are perfect to team with puffer jackets, trenchcoats, chunky oversized jumpers and boyfriend blazers. This is a perfect silhouette combo for most babyboomer women as our legs naturally become more lean with age while our midriff waist and tummy take on the dreaded 'spare tire' effect! A lean bottom and loose top camouflage our danger areas and accentuate the positive.

Check out the Diane Gilman collection and watch out for the fab TSV on Friday 19th July!
