What lovely weather we've had in the south east over the last few days. I hope it has been nice where you are too as a bit of sunshine and blue skies really does lift the spirit. How lovely to be able to sit in the garden and relax, although there was a bit of a nip in the air when the sun went behind a cloud.
My daughter Sophie came over last weekend with her friend Sarah and their respective cats. Both the cats wore a harness and lead so that they didn't wander off in the garden. Oskar is quite used to his now but it was a first for 'Lexi', as was walking on grass which was quite comical to see.
Sophie also brought over her Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research vest for me to 'alter' as even the small size was way too big for her…mild panic ensued as I tried to remember where I had put my sewing machine after the last house move a year ago. Fortunately I found it and the vest is now a much better fit for her Tough Mudder challenge tomorrow. You can still sponsor her if you would like.
She collected the vest on Wednesday evening when we also took the opportunity to remove our Red Carpet Manicure together. If you haven't tried RCM yet I can certainly say it is worth the effort as it lasts for a couple of weeks and it has really helped my nails grow underneath the gel coat. I think it is on air this weekend, or you could have a look on the website and maybe take advantage of the thirty-day money back guarantee to try it out.
Talking of manicures, I decided to have my nails filed and my cuticles pampered while I was at Aveda yesterday waiting for my colour to process. I only have them done occasionally but I always try to get Elvira as she has done them since before the Aveda Concept salon in High Holborn opened, which I think is about ten years ago.
Imagine my surprise when I received a tweet from Patrick Hoy, Quacker Factory, who I am working with at 5pm today which had a picture of him with Elvira at Aveda a couple of hours after I had been in there…small world!
Also I'm very excited that my book 'One Hundred Lengths of the Pool' is now available on Amazon as an ebook, for those of you who have been asking. For those that prefer to turn paper pages we still have a small quantity of the signed hardback version available here at QVC…
Must dash, don't want to be late for my 'date' with Patrick Hoy!
Have a great weekend.
Love, Julia xx
