Stop bugging me!

May bugs, June bugs – call them what you like but I'm under attack!!!

We moved house last year (we probably bought our house the day before the market crashed – yay us! I wanted to pay over the odds anyway… ) and I completely forgot, until last night, about the most bizarre bugs in this world – not to mention the most stupid too! May bugs – a form of dung beetle (which I believe is the lowest creature on the food chain according to Stephen Berkoff)!

Last night, I came home at about 10.30 and was chased to the front door by a miniature jumbo jet (one of these bugs), which reached the front door before I did, crashed and fell to the floor!

So, they are back – I have had at least 2 months of the sound of these daft bugs crashing into the windows at night and landing upside down on the floor, not able to get up, and probably spending their final hours wiggling their legs in the air! What a funny world we live in!

Pipa x x

…. Oh and by the way, thanks for all the votes for which hair colour to do next – keep them coming and I’ll tot them up on May 10th!!

I so understand!!! My friend and I decided that instead of going to the gym last night we’d go for a nice walk in the sunshine around the local lake. Big mistake – I’m not joking there was millions of little flying critters!! At one point I put my new (Centrigrade tsv) coat over my head – only problem was I couldn’t see where I was going! Back to the gym for us me thinks! As for the hair, I think you should try purple – my favourite colour!

Pippa – one of the most striking hair colours I have ever seen was a lady who had your length of hair and was fashioned in a “spiky” style – which was blond – but with the tips of the hair dyed navy. Now, if you don’t fancy blue – you could always have another colour on the tips. Just a thought!

Pipa, I know you love jewellery too. Maybe the buyers could get jewellers loops for us to buy? I would love to see my gems that way.
    Love Ronnie

I think that you should change your surname for the next couple of months to Pipa VANDERBUG!!!

    Hi Pipa,
Bugs are the worst thing about spring/summer!!!
I noticed the debate about your new hair colour and I thought you looked brilliant with slightly longer dark hair with a tan. Very good look for all seasons! If not, blonde is always a good idea for the summer.
    Best wishes

Navy tips?? Olga that sounds fabulous!! And yes Ronnie, I have asked about jewellers loops just recently so funny you mentioned it – I’ll pass it on!! Janet you’re funny! VanderBUG – took me a couple of reads then I laughed out loud! And Jenny, thanks for the comment – the problem is, I just can’t stand it when my hair is a little longer – nice or not, I just can’t stand feeling it on my face or around my ears – my hairdresser gets most upset with me because as soon as we get some length, I chop it off – sometimes at home!! I think he has given up on me! x x

    Hello Pipa,
I love your hair, short spikey and red!! you really suit it.. I am like you, if the hairdresser doesn’t cut it short enough on the top or fringe.. I cut it myself.. (hairdressers hate it )
    Best wishes
    Kathleen

Hello Pipa, I know I need my hair cut when I start admiring your hair length on QVC. I love short hair and yours always looks fantastic whatever colour it is. It is so much easier to look after too.
Best wishes to you and your family.

You remind so much of me Pipa – I change my hair colour when the wind changes direction. My hair is really fine and it suits me best short and choppy. I’ve tried to grow it but its looks as dull as ditch water. So if I can’t do much style wise, I like to change the colour. I haven’t been quite as brave as you and gone blond but I love the chocolates and reds, however this time my hairdresser opted for blue/black. I think you should do red again – perfect for your skin tone. My mum who is sadly no longer with me used to say ‘the more you colour your hair the more likely it is to fall out’ – oh dear mum, I hope that’s one thing you got wrong!
    Go on Pipa, surprise us.
    Best Wishes, Jules.

Pipa: Can you PLEASE tell me the brand and colour of the nail polish you were wearing during your presentations of ybf over the bank holiday weekend? It is a pinky brown colour and you were wearing a purple top at the time? Does QVC carry it? Thanks so much. Susan B.
