Spring has sprung!

11

Hello!

Well if I was a little uncertain before I’m now certain for sure! Spring has sprung and the proof is in the beautiful blossom which has recently opened on our cherry tree!

I love this time of year as daylight extends with every passing day and the temperatures start to rise (hopefully I’m not tempting fate too much!)

It’s been a busy few days at QVC and home life is non-stop at the moment too.

We’re slowly going through the kitchen bit by bit as we prepare for the new kitchen to be installed.

I finally got round to emptying a drawer which was full of just about everything from old mobile phone chargers to numerous pens (which no longer work) and a strange cable which I’m not sure I ever owned!

I also came across this picture which was another reminder that spring and summer is just around the corner. If not now I was a little bit cute once! I loved ice cream as a little boy and still do to this day. Classic vanilla takes some beating doesn’t it. The ice cream in the photo was one of those rectangular blocks which you popped into the rectangular wafer cone. I think you can still get them to this day.

I’m now having a little trip down memory lane recalling all of my favourite sweets and treats!

What were yours?

Take care and see you soon.

Hi Charlie. No you haven’t changed a bit. Darker hair maybe [ with distinguished grey ] !!!!
At least you managed to eat your ice cream [ mine for some unknown reason ] seemed to end up in my lap…….I’ll send you a picture [ just for a laugh ].
Thankfully the weather has turned really warm. Might not last until Easter though.
Do you remember the chewy sweets ” fruit cocktail and black jacks [ they used to turn your mouth black ], and milky bar ooh and Caramac [ they brought it back BUT not the same ].
Take care. Debby and BIG whoofs from Bella

Hi Charlie, oh my, you have taken me back a good few years to when in was taken advantage child to “the candy shop” and a favourite treat of mine was the rectangular block of Cornish ice cream which when carefully unwrapped, fitted snugly into the rectangular cone. I live in Northern Ireland and have not seen these for many years, but i can will remember how delicious they were! Thanks Charlie, all the pleasure but no caloriesđŸ˜‹
