Spring is all about fresh, poreless skin and there's no time like the present to brighten up and create a radiance that may have been hibernating during the winter months. Here are a few tips to help you achieve complexion perfection…
To prepare your skin always use a primer such as my Perfect Prep Poreless Primer. This allows your make-up to lie beautifully and helps prevent it from falling into fine lines and wrinkles.
This is a step that I use with my professional clients and I always tell them that primed skin will keep make-up lasting longer and the colour will appear much truer.
Don’t forget a little concealer under the eyes such as Cancellation Conditioning Concealer , to combat circles and create a bit of brightness. You can always dab concealer around the sides of the nose to counter-act any redness. This concealer is so conditioning that it’s perfect for skin coming out of the dry winter months.
This spring, the trends are leaning towards colour so don’t be afraid to play around. Corals and brighter pinks play a central role on cheeks and lips this spring, and remember a green or lilac eye always looks fab!
Try my Evercolour Shadow Sticks in Green or Plum or our Weightless Eye Shadows in Shimmering Plum or Shimmering Brown for a radiant and easy spring eye look. When going for a bolder eye look make sure to soften the lip. A plum eye shade looks so fresh when paired with a neutral nude lip such as Ultimate Performance Lip System in Spice.
Also, use a luminizer to create that 'lit from within glow'! Putting a little luminosity in the inner corner of the eye, down the bridge of the nose and in the cupid’s bow of the mouth is the fiercest and fastest way to get angelic looking skin. Use Finish Line Luminizer to get this easy but effective look.
Don’t forget to amp up those lashes for spring with Volumizing Mascara. I always say two coats on top and one on the bottom for the thickest and most voluminous-looking lashes. Now that those cold days are behind us we can step out with gorgeously glowing skin.
