Spotting Tiana B on Midsomer Murders

Model wearng Tiana B dress

Do you remember back in May when I mentioned I was going to be an extra for Midsomer Murders? Well the episode was shown last week and eagle-eyed Pink Angel (a Facebook friend) spotted the back view of Yours Truly in one of my favourite Tiana B dresses! I was wearing the retro black and white one

Where else have you seen Tiana B or other QVC brands? Someone told me they regularly see a local newsreader wearing the jewelled neck dresses. Let me know by leaving a comment below.

It always fascinates me how so much effort can produce so little footage in the actual finished programme. My sister Linda and I, QVC model Katherine and her ex-QVC model mum Jane, and my pal ‘Kipling Kerena’, spent the day at Loseley Hall filming a pretend garden party. And I mean the day.

From 7am till 6pm we were there, mostly standing around, laughing at the same jokes, drinking the same fake champers, and trying to repeat the same moves as requested.

Dozens of people, a big set, tons of fake garden party accoutrements and take, after take, after take, of the few scenes from the start of the episode, all from different angles. Read back to the May blog to find out more, then click on the link below to see a segment of the opener of 'The Noble Art'.

I wasn’t fussed about being seen, so stood opposite Linda, meaning that sister got a little appearance. But, Kerena was hidden away inside the tent behind the actors so didn’t get in any scenes at all! Tell you who did though – Katherine our lovely model! Funny because her little cameo – ‘speaking’ to one of the characters whilst he was being discussed by the actors in the foreground – was on ITV at almost exactly the same time as she was modelling some fashion for QVC! Lol. I saw her the next day and she was chuffed to be on two channels at once!

Anyway, other clips are on YouTube, but this one’s just a taster. Mainly because you can so easily see the Tiana B dress!

I wonder how many other eagle-eyed sightings you guys have spotted on your local TV/magazines? Let me know. Or better still, let me know if you’ve ever been an extra in anything? Or what you’d most like to be an extra in!

Hi Sonia! Thanks for the comment! It was an interesting day but not necessarily one I’d do often – just due to simply standing around most of the day! John Nettles seems (from a distance and the brief words I spoke during one lunch break) just as you’d imagine him – quite a gentle person, very unassuming, and patient! They have to be to keep doing take after take after take eh! But as an extra you really don’t get to mix much with the ‘proper’ actors – or even the crew! It’s almost as funny sometimes, as the Ricky Gervais scenes, or possibly ‘essence’ of the French and Saunders sketches all those years ago! lol. Good experience tho!
Keep ’em peeled! Glad you’re enjoying the blogs!

I wear an indigo moon jacket when I go to my art group. now one of the other members does to, but not the same one. She asked me when I first turned up with it on, were I had got it from, telling her Q.V.C she said would I mind if she did the same. like me she agreed the bright colours are perfect to wear to our art group.I keep looking for the full lenth style so I can have a change, as yet the 2 I like are not avalable in my size. But I keep looking.
