My nieceHello!

Ok. So a picture of my lovely niece Louise, and a photo of some hyacinths (below)!! What's the connection? Well let's describe them both a bit and give you a little background.

The lovely Louise is my pride and joy. Firstly, this is Louise at her recent graduation. She recently got her Masters degree in Human Resources.

My niece on her graduationIt's funny actually because two of my boys saw the photos on Facebook and one gave her the thumbs up as it were, and the other scratched his head wondering why she was putting up photos of herself when she graduated with her degree 11 years ago.

He didn't realise that this was a recent distinct event!! He was very quick to add though that she's obviously looking good as he couldn't tell the difference between a photo we have up on the wall at home of 'the first time round', and this one.

I reckon personally it's all those great QVC products she gets off her Auntie Anne. She has done amazingly well though.

Her's was the wedding of the year which took place last October that I've been going on about (I know I've still got to sort some photos out for you – I will! Watch this space!!)

HyacinthsWe are very very very close!! Sadly her mum (my sister) died when she had just had her eighteenth birthday and as an only child we just became incredibly close. I was thrilled to be sitting at the top table with her dad at the wedding as a kind of proxy "mother-of-the-bride". What a great day!!

Anyway, next up my hyacinths!!

Well this photo was taken less than 2 weeks after one of the most fabulous ladies behind the scenes here at QVC, the lovely Teeny, gave me the plant when we met for afternoon tea one day. I can't believe they're looking so great!! Me, growing plants? This is a woman who can barely grow her own hair!!

So go on then, what's the connection?

Answer: I'm extremely proud of both of them :)!!

Lots of love

Take care

Anne xxx

Auntie Anne…that nearly brought a tear to my eye. Such lovely words. We’re all really proud of Louise in the office too! Such a credit!

Awck Anne you’ve just made me go aww! Firstly, what an amazing achievment for Louise..particularly as she had her wedding to plan as well as study!! What a woman. And such a lovely photo of her. I didn’t realise your sister had so tragically died. I am so sorry to hear that. You really are a wonderful lady Anne. Having gone through that, taken Louise under your wing, and also to raise your own family as well as so graciously looking after your brother. I have nothing but admiration for you. AND you are getting younger instead of older…even with all that!
Hope you’re well yourself? Be in touch,
    Susan x
    PS Gorgeous hyacinths!

    Hi Sam,
I take it by your post that you indeed know the lovely Louise :)
She is indeed a star and it makes me laugh at how many of her friends referred to me as “Auntie Anne” at the wedding. Such a hoot!!!!
    Lots of love to you
    “Auntie Anne” x

    Oh Susan,
Yer like ma wee pen pal!! Great to hear from you.
All good in this hood as they say :)
Manic as ever, but what else is new. I don’t know so much about me looking younger every day. Feel about 145 years old today, but then it’s Monday!!! But very nice of you to say it. You’re always so full of compliments. It really makes my day!
    Take care

Hi Anne, had no idea you were a TV star. You look great after all these years. Sorry to hear about Marie and your Mum. Drop me a line if you fancy a catch up.
