My Sparkling Christmas Edit!

3

Happy December everybody! We are in full Christmas mode in our house now, no beating about the bush. The tree is up, I’m already ahead of the game with presents and we’ve already been to see Santa!

We kicked things off this weekend with a visit to the RNLI Christmas event to join in the festivities. It was a lovely day full of crafts for the kids and stalls of homemade local produce and ‘nic nacs’. The Bournemouth Male Voice Choir performed Christmas songs outside in the beautiful winter sunshine and we all then watched Santa arrive by RNLI Lifeboat. Well how else would he arrive?!

It’s always funny having the Santa chats with Tilda now, we talked about whether this was a ‘real’ Santa or just one of the ‘real’ Santa’s helpers pretending to be Santa? Tilda decided that this Santa was definitely one of his helpers, because his beard was just tooooo white and he didn’t have a hat.

Back at home we put up our tree, this year we decided to get a small potted tree that could be re planted. We will be at my parents for Christmas so the big tree will be there. We also don’t have the space anymore for our big tree as my dad built us new cupboards this year and now there’s nowhere to put it! I took a deep breath and let the kids decorate!

It’s amazing how much of a control freak you realise you are when you have kids. You have to just step back and watch them put the baubles on willy nilly and let it happen. It was the first year that they have both been able to help properly and it was incredibly heart warming watching them both busy themselves with the task in hand.

This week at QVC as you can imagine it’s full Christmas gifting central, and jewellery is getting a staring role. So I have a little Sparkling Christmas Edit for you of some of the most exciting pieces to look out for. I have completely fallen in love with a few of them and will be ordering them for myself. I wonder if you can guess which ones?

If you love to have matching pieces then the Loverocks bead necklace and bracelet set is for you, but which colour would you choose? Gold, Black or Silver? How fabulous will these look when you dress up even the plainest of tops or dresses?

I’ve started to wear watches again for the first time in years, I had forgotten how good they look as I’ve been so used to looking at my phone for the time. They can be such a big part of the overall look of an outfit though and shouldn’t be underestimated. I particularly like the ombre pink Ophia All that Glitters Watch, who doesn’t love a bit of glitter?!

I also had to let Tilda have a go on one of the cutest watches I think QVC have ever brought us, the Ophia What’s New Pussycat watch. Tilda thought it was ‘the best watch ever’ and I thought so too, I mean the face has cat ears!! It’s not just for kids although it can be done up for a pretty small wrist. It was just slightly loose on the very first hole on Tilda and she is 6. I could wear it on the 3rd to last hole and it still looked fab. These will be launching later this month, so make sure you look out for them.

Ok, you can stop guessing what my favourites are now as I’m going to tell you. I am completely head over heels for these next two pieces. First up, the statement earrings from Nikita by Niki Persia. I love how glamorous they are and yet contemporary at the same time. I love how you put one part through your piercing and them attach the main part of the earring to the back and let it cup your ear lobe. The end result is quite dramatic, they’re fabulous.

Next up, also from Nikita by Niki Persia, it’s the Amelle rhinestone choker. I’ll admit when I first went to put it on I thought it would be too tight but once on, it sat absolutely perfectly around my neck. It’s like a vintage piece from the 1920s, and I felt really great wearing it. I think it’s particularly special and it would probably be my pick of the week!

Other pieces to look out for are the party ready magnetic earrings from Frank Usher (pictured in the group picture) and their layered Pebble 105cm necklace and also the very beautiful Clogau 9ct rose gold solitaire ring.

So many great pieces to choose from during our mini jewellery event so do treat yourself. Yes yes I know we are supposed to be shopping for others at the moment but it’s party time and I want you all to feel your best!! Keep an eye out for the jewellery shows as we have some really great gifts and treats.

As always, please do let me know how you are doing and what you’ve been buying and enjoying on QVC. Is your tree up too, or are you waiting ’til the last minute?

You can keep up with what I’m up to over on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

Lots of love
