Small changes with big differences

3

A wet and rainy June is almost over and I hope a real summer is around the corner! I mentioned in my last blog after really addressing my diet nutrition recently, it’s made me very aware of how my diet can affect many functions in my body including my skin. After cleaning up my eating act, my body and energy changed but also my skin responded really well, better than I had imagined. Further evidence of this is how fabulous and healthy Anne Dawson looks after doing The Body Rescue Plan (I even hear people ask her if she’s had cosmetic work done the difference has been that powerful).

We can accept that not everyone wants to do The Body Rescue Plan (although I would highly recommend) or has the motivation due to their particular lifestyle or situation, even so there are things we can do to help ourselves.

It’s well documented that if your diet does not include the daily intake of good nutrition, will reflect in the health and appearance of our skin. One of the vital components of the diet to ensure healthy, nourished skin is a group called essential fatty acids. As the name suggests, essential fatty acids (EFAs) are essential because the body cannot synthesise them from any other substances, which means that they can only be obtained from what you eat. To help us with our daily doses, Elemis have brought QVCUK a worldwide launch to save our under-nourished skin – Elemis Superfood Facial Oil.
Elemis Superfood Facial Oil ingredients

Whilst many of us try to have fresh fruit and veg in our diet, this alone sometimes is not enough to get the boost we want. Luckily Elemis have carefully selected nine power-packed superfood oils that support the health of your skin. These include:

  • Broccoli seed oil – high in EFAs and Vitamin C
  • Flaxseed oil – rich in Omega-3
  • Cucumber oil – a source of Omega-6 and Vitamin B1.
  • Macadamia oil – contains a wealth of Omega-3, 6 and 7.
  • Rosehip seed oil – renowned for its high EFA content

Combined with various natural nutritional oils, this superfood facial oil will allow the skin to become more resilient and help skin health no matter what skin type you have. There’s a blend of 14 natural essential oils like orange, lavender, ylang ylang and patchouli to create an experience that is soothing to all the senses, which also impacts on the skin and wellbeing.

Elemis Superfood Facial Oil massage techniquesI’ve found the oil super hydrating, easy to use and a lovely morning boost for the skin, like when you drink that power smoothie. It’s for suitable for skin types and easily absorbed, just use 3-4 drops on cleansed and toned skin before your own moisturiser. It smells divine and acts like a morning health tonic for your face; a little pick me up.

I’ve found all these small changes we make start to make a difference. This superfood oil will nurture, hydrate and enhance the skin especially as we progress into the warm summer months when our skin is thirsty. On that note please drink more water, which can make huge differences to our skin and energy levels. Until the end of June, Elemis Superfood Facial Oil is our Beauty Pick of the Month with free P&P – why not try it for 30 days and see the difference for youself.

How do I slot this into my daily routine when using Ultrasun on the face?

Hi Janet…well done on using UltraSun, I live in it.
You put the oil onto cleansed & toned skin, wait 5 mins for it to dry & then UltraSun application.

Hope that helps. Last day for the offer!

Hi Chloe. I was very fortunate to win from Elemis a drinking glass a a bottle of the oil. I was unsure if it would leave my skin greasey. Far from it. The oil is brilliant and in combination with the cleansing balm my facial skin is so much better. Thanks to Elemis & QVC. Can we have the duo of the cleansing balm please
