Hello! Well, as I write this the weather is glorious, infact, our two dogs have come in from the garden as they're finding it a little too warm today. The picture is of Bramble, who has decided to make use of the sofa instead of lounging on a patch of grass!
I mentioned in last week's blog the missing hole for our rotary washing line! Well, I was determined to not buy a new post to sink into the grass, so this is what I did! My family thought it hilarious when I was looking through photos to see if there were any pictures featuring the rotary washing line. Well, as they laughed I kept searching and finally found a picture. I managed to triangulate the position of the hole… and success… I found it! Much to the continued laughter of my family!
There's still time to enter my destination gems competition. It's a little bit of fun and I just love the prize our gem team found for me. This is a piece of Imperial topaz (pictured). To enter, simply tweet me a picture of you wearing your favourite piece of QVC jewellery. It doesn't have to be a professional shot! Tweet the picture to @mecharliebrook. All the terms and conditions can be found here. Good luck!
Speaking of gems, my next Destination Gems show is on Tuesday 30th at 8pm. In the show we'll be focusing on highlights from Gem Day. Not to forget, more on the competition and of course the 'reveal'.
I mentioned at the start of the blog… 'sleeping on the job' and that's exactly what I'm doing! I'm launching our Northern Nights Today's Special Value on Monday 29th at midnight. A pair of eurofeather pillows….. They're fairly similar to a pair I already have… Love them! Hope you can join me…. In the meantime I'll keep trying them out! Z z z z z
Talking of sleeping on the job… I actually did once when I was presenting a radio show through the night! On another occasion, when working in a studio through the night, I was so tired, I fell asleep standing up! I woke again just as I fell over!
To round off this week's blog, here's a recent picture of Dale and me fooling around. You can see why we're rarely allowed in the building together!
Take care and see you soon,
