Christmas really is just around the corner when a big retailer launches their seasonal advert ( I love Buster the Boxer!), and when it’s time for the Elemis Christmas Today’s Special Value on QVC – our biggest Today’s Special Value of the year in terms of quantity.
I have been very good at keeping my lips sealed since pre-recording the segments with Emer for the website and Beauty Channel. That was some four weeks ago now, but you can now watch and order early if you like the look of it… I really can keep a secret if asked to!
The Today’s Special Value is a six-piece face and body collection in a choice of two fragrance options, which both come in a gold gift box that doesn’t state the contents, so you could remove (or add) a couple of items if you choose.
The Pro collagen marine Cream alone is worth £50 and the whole Today’s Special Value is only £42.96, so everything else is a bonus.
Oh, and it’s available in 4 Easy Payments!
Also, if you fancy trying both options, Frangipani and (the new fragrance) White Lotus and Lime, you can also buy more and save with this product, saving £4 on your second and each subsequent purchase!
Check it out on our website now, or wait for the official launch at midnight on Saturday in to Sunday.
I even kept (fairly) quiet about my lovely trip to the Elemis day spa in Mayfair last week, where Christina (who you will recognise from QVC) gave me a specially-devised face and body treat, using all of the elements from the Today’s Special Value.
It was so relaxing, I’m a little ashamed to admit that I fell asleep only to wake myself up… snoring! How embarrassing. But I was laying on my back, something that always makes ‘him indoors’ snore.
Last weekend we went to a firework display for the first time in about ten years. I was a bit disappointed at the lack of organisation for parking the cars; which ultimately resulted in the display starting thirty minutes late.
However it was good fun to watch and we rounded the evening off with a meal at the Belvedere Arms nearby, one of our favourite gastro-pubs.
Fireworks were still going off late into the night, but both our cats seemed unperturbed.
Poppy is totally deaf so couldn’t hear them and Wilfie slept through most of it! I took this cute picture on the left of Wilfie the other day when I finally succumbed to putting the thicker Northern Nights duvet on our bed after it turned so cold.
Before I had the chance to put the clean duvet cover on, Wilfie had snuggled into the quilt and stayed there for several hours.
Speaking of cats, apologies for forgetting to post the October picture from my yoga cats calendar. I couldn’t possibly miss this one though because the cat is called ‘Franklin’ – I wonder if Dale can strike that pose?
On Monday, I finally finished writing and editing my latest short story, ‘The Shadow of Her Smile’, which will be exclusively available for people who sign up to the newsletter on my website.
There is a short excerpt in my website’s blog, if you’d like to try it out.
I also announced that I have been able to send a further £1,500 to Bloodwise as a result of sales of ‘Life’s a Beach and Then…’.
Thank you if you’ve bought it, the money really is a great help to fund research in to new treatments and drugs for all types of blood cancer. I have some news about another of the charities I’m associated with which I shall share next week.
So, as well as the Elemis Today’s Special Value, there are lots of other great Christmas gift ideas from QVC at the moment.
If you know someone who finds getting off to sleep troublesome, do join me for a whole hour of This Works this afternoon at 3pm.
I use the pillow spray every night to get me off to sleep, as my head is always spinning with ideas for new books. They do lots of other products too, including a rechargeable diffuser (pictured), which we are launching today. Nicole is back after the birth of her baby, so I’m looking forward to seeing her and the baby pics!
Fashion on Friday is a change from what I shared last week – it’s Centigrade, perfect if you’re shopping for winter coats now that the weather has turned.
We also have winter coats with Dennis Basso on his 15th Anniversary shows with us next week. I am with him at 2pm on both Wednesday and Thursday, join us for stylish pieces like this revere collar coat.
I can’t finish without mentioning the dreadful tram crash in Croydon on Wednesday. I lived in the area for many years and still visit when I go and watch my team, Crystal Palace, play their home games. One of the first victims identified was a 19 year old Palace fan. My heart goes out to his family and everyone affected by this disaster.
And lastly, I will be wearing my poppy with pride this weekend.
