Before I realised it, the 5th Anniversary of my Silk Route Fashion Jewellery show is around the corner! There will be many new styles in this show, which I'm so excited to introduce to you, as well as some special Anniversary Priced items. Make sure you tune in at 11am and 9pm on Wednesday 13th June.
With the vibrant colours of stones to match your summer dresses, handbags and swimmer suits, I believe my new jewellery designs will be your best buy in the summer and they will become your favourite pieces within your collection. Here are some of the key lines that I am particularly excited about…
This pretty set comes in a choice of three colours: Turquoise, that everyone loves in the summer; Amethyst, which is my personal favourite colour; and my birthstone Tiger-eye, that is a hot look and suits everyone!
They are made out of semi-precious stones, cloisonné beads and metal beads as a spacer. What makes them special is that you will receive a pair of earrings to match your bracelet – a perfect gift for teachers and friends in the graduation season.
This set has a very clean look for the summer that will easily match every outfit. It's made out of cloisonné beads and high-quality glass nuggets in irregular shapes. My design is exclusive to QVC UK, so you won’t find the same look anywhere else!
Although it’s called 'Fashion' jewellery, you will find that I always use stones, freshwater pearls, shells and cloisonné beads in my designs. Cloisonné is a losing art of enamel works, which is only produced in small workshops around the Beijing area. So get ready for the summer and fit this one-of-a-kind jewellery set into your summer collection!
This set has been designed especially for my 5th Anniversary! It includes a long necklace, which can be worn as a long necklace or as double-row necklace for a chunkier style. It comes in a choice of Turquoise and Red Fossil, both of which are the most popular colours in Tibetan jewellery and also perfect colours for summer.
They are made out of 12mm round stone beads and cloisonné beads. Jewellery has never been worn by Tibetans just in order to beautify them, they could serve as amulets or as an indicator of social status. These jewellery pieces set in vibrant colours are inspired by Tibet style but are also in simple and classic looks so that they are more wearable nowadays.
Add some extra vibrant colours to your summer outfits! This is another Tibetan-style jewellery set specially designed for the 5th Anniversary show. Three rows in different lengths, which lay beautifully on your neckline.
This jewellery set again is made out of the most popular turquoise stone in different shapes, which is widely used in Tibet.
Yin's inspirations for her Silk Route collection
My designs are inspired by the ancient Silk Road from my journeys there. When I was in college, I travelled to the Silk Road for the first time and I was so inspired by the cultures, religions, arts and crafts, and especially the jewellery pieces. After that, I went back there many times.
In order to prepare new designs for my 5th Anniversary, I went to Tibet last year. Here are some of the photos I took… Yin Hu x
