Ship ahoy!

Jilly and the family in HaitiIt has certainly been a busy few weeks here at QVC with the relocation of our studios to Chiswick. I am faced with clearing out my dressing room and, after nearly 19 years and being a bit of a hoarder, that's a daunting prospect!

I actually feel like I'm moving house house again! Thank goodness I had a great holiday to set me up for the move as we had such a wonderful time and I do feel well rested. We have just come back from an amazing cruise. I didn't realise that I had booked the largest cruise ship in the world to go on.

It was called the Oasis of the Seas and apparently there was a documentary about it on telly not so long ago, which I must look out for. It was just breathtaking, over 6,000 passengers and 2,500 crew and everything about it was spectacular! I'm still astounded at how it stays afloat.

I know we have lots of you cruise addicts calling in, especially during the fashion hours, and everyone always sounds so exuberant about their forthcoming cruise and now I know why. I must admit I am totally hooked. I can't believe there was even an ice skating rink and a carousel on board the ship!

However, despite my new-found love of cruises, I doubt we will be going again anytime soon as I've just discovered that in the world of holidays my soon-to-be 12-year-old son will be classed as an adult and you have to pay full adult price, even on an all-inclusive holiday when he obviously won't be drinking alcohol. How outrageous!

All the travel agents I have spoken absolutely agree that there should be a teen price available for hotels where you are all sharing one room, I wondered how many of you out there have encountered the same problem?

Looks like it will be the tent in the back garden for me next year! But if you are going on a fabulous cruise, watch out for the OPI Today's Special Value offer launching at midnight on Tuesday morning. There are some stunning colours that would look simply gorgeous for dinner at the Captain's table.

Bon voyage,

Jilly x

Can't wait until then? Take a look at the OPI range right now
