What’s not to love about Christmas?
It’s the only time of the year that you can eat and drink to your heart’s content without one iota of guilt and I mean really go for it without a care in the world; love your family, friends and yourself by feeding them all!
Food & drink are a regular feature of passion in my life, Christmas allows us to expand our taste horizons and chow down on unusual offerings! We have loads of premium Christmas food & beverage options on our website so do take a look and push out of your gastronomy comfort zone.
Check out some of my favourites on offer…
A wonderful mouth-watering selection of amazingly creamy and rich Monty Bojangles chocolate truffles…simply heaven & super sharable.
A dozen handmade Belgian chocolate brownies from that clever lady, Kate at Gower Cottage, prepare yourself for entry into the utterly delicious category!
A much-anticipated new comer to the food isles at QVC, supplier to the top restaurants, gastro houses and hotels Donald Russell offers us 6 of their best steaks! Dine like a king on this offering!
This one isn’t really a food but is a cool gift for the males in your life, a funky hip flask. It’s country pursuit inspired and you could even get it engraved!
Appetite aside Christmas has to be about family & love and giving & sharing; simply that. It’s the time to surround ourselves by our loved ones and put everything else to one side even if issues exist which can be the case when everyone comes together in a festive melting pot. It’s a time for us to reflect on how important family is to us and to spare a moment for absent loved ones who are no longer with us.
Aside from all the love there’s presents to, the giving of them that is. How happy does it make you to see a loved one open a present and it’s something they really wanted?
What makes Christmas so warm is the fun, games, happy faces, the food, drink and love shared; it’s the most wonderful time of the year.
We always have a few friends get together as too; one that will always stick in my memory was when my friend Emma hosted ‘Mince Pies & Mulled Wine’ she was determined that everything was going to be homemade by her. Well the mulled wine turned out well and went down well, the mince pies weren’t bad either but their planned supporting act the homemade ginger bread didn’t turn out as planned. As folk were arriving, Em darted to the oven to check her gingerbread and when you pulled them out they had what can only be described as a soup like consistency; she had created the first ever batch of gingerbread slop! And in true Bridget Jones style offered me a spoon to taste it!
Usually my fam spend Christmas in Tenerife but I’ll be heading back up north for a few days this Christmas with a car full of presents instead! I won’t be gone long because QVC need me back on Boxing Day when will have clearance galore.
So I’d like to know what you love about Christmas?
