I’m writing my blog in my dressing room as I prepare to go on air this evening! I’m not normally one for taking selfies, but with the mirror to hand I thought I’d give it a go! I wasn’t too sure where to stare… the mirror, screen or camera!
A little earlier (before popping on the suit and brushing on the make-up!) I caught up with Ali for another selfie! You can immediately see my need for makeup and suit! Ali looks simply fabulous having returned from her wonderful honeymoon. She had the most magical and amazing time – no doubt you’ll be able to read more and see some pictures in Ali’s blog. Welcome back Ali!
Congratulations to Rachel Collins the winner of our beautiful Honora prize. Thanks to everyone who entered. I’ll be certain to have another competition very soon.
In last week’s blog I popped up some of my favourite photos. How could I have missed these two pictures out?! My two adoring Cairns when they were very young and very mischievous (still are) and with considerably shorter hair!
They’ve been relatively well behaved this week although I think something has taken up residence at the end of our garden. Whatever it is it comes out late at night as that’s when it stirs the interest of my Cairns who are itching to head out into the garden and investigate. They scrape frantically at the back door. I wonder what it could be? Hedgehog perhaps or maybe a beautiful badger or fox?
My Gran had a badger living at the end of her garden that stayed there for years, my Gran named her Biddy. I caught a brief glimpse of her on just the one occasion, late at night, it was truly magical!
I’m in the midst of a few days off now. I’m staying at home and subject to my knee healing quickly I’ll pick up my restrung racket and head out to play some tennis. Not before I apply the Ultrasun though!
I’m back on air this coming Monday 27th July at 5pm with some stunning Yong Kim fashion followed by a brand new show. I’m really excited to be presenting the Belles of London fashion premier at 8pm. It is a North London-based company that takes the ‘Made in Britain’ idea seriously. It is involved in an award-winning social enterprise that has just opened a training centre for people who are differently-abled. The dresses are a combination of classic designs in Italian prints.
I do hope you can join me. It’s a fabulous line up.
Take care and see you soon
PS. Thanks to everyone who has been tweeting me pictures of their pets. I love them. I’d like to meet yours too – on Twitter I’m @mecharliebrook
