With our Christmas game face firmly on, we’ve warmly welcomed the arrival of BundleBerry‘s exciting new collection and its ample gift-spiration. From cosy soft furnishings to quirky home accessories, the on-trend designs are ideal for spoiling your nearest and dearest.
Word on the festive grapevine is that Amanda is utterly Christmas-obsessed, so we caught up with our Ambassador to find out what she loves about the season and how her prep is getting on.
Are you in Christmas mode too?
I’m definitely already in Christmas mode. It’s all thanks to our local garden centre in the Cotswolds, opening their incredible Christmas floor.
We’ve already picked our theme because my daughter, Lexi, asked me one day: ‘Mummy, please can we not do silver again?!’ She suggested red, so I immediately jumped at the idea. Our Christmas colour scheme will be a traditional one this year.
What do you love about Christmas?
It’s all of it. I love the fact our family always join together, because that’s what we do. If some relatives can’t make it, we have a fake Christmas on top of the real Christmas. You can never have too many Christmases.
I actually get butterflies about the meal, and love giving presents. I never care about what I get back. My mother always says I’m difficult to buy for (which I’m not!) and then ends up buying me something really silly.
Once, she bought me one of those battery-powered forks you use to scratch your head. I wondered why she didn’t just get me socks or bubble bath – they’re the only things I ask for every year, and the only things I’ve never received.
Do you think you’re a good gift finder?
I’m an amazing gift finder. Over the years, some of my more extravagant gifts for my husband, Chris, have been a telephone box converted into an office, a beautiful King George V post box, and a vintage Coca Cola fridge. When planning presents for big birthdays or special anniversaries, I love to go on the hunt for the most thoughtful and meaningful gift I can find.
He loves British memorabilia, so our garden is like a museum. In all honesty, he never uses the office and I’ve taken over the fridge, keeping it well-stocked with Prosecco.
Have you already started planning this year’s presents?
I’ve got ideas for the children but I just gave Chris a big pre-Christmas gift to go in our newly-renovated house, so he won’t be expecting anything. I’m thinking he can have a pair of socks this year.
I asked this wonderful designer to put shelves into a big regimental drum. Then, I stacked it full of vinyl and put a record player in it.
Are you going to be gifting any new BundleBerry designs this year?
The Infinity Spheres make perfect presents, and will be at a very special price on Wednesday 15th November. I’d give these to Alesha Dixon because she loves a bit of sparkle and fairy lights. Plus I know her little daughter, Azura, will love them.
All my girlfriends will be receiving the Glass Charms. I could give them to anybody I know, because we all love a cocktail.
You know how it is, we normally lift up a glass and ask: ‘Is that my shade of lipstick? … Whose is that? … Who’s wearing red?’ Nobody likes that awful surprise when you sip a drink that’s not yours. With these charms, everyone knows who’s drinking what, and they’re a pretty finishing touch for your glass too.
The mugs come in gift boxes, so they’re ready to go. So many people I know already have them from my first collection, but you can never have too many! I’ve already sent them to friends and family, so maybe I’ll send them more to complete their collection. I love the new colours, and can already see which one I’d give to each of them.
