Rugby news, Kelly Hoppen TSV and more…

Another glorious weekend dear reader – as luck would have it I was off on Sunday which enabled me to enjoy both the sunshine and my son's last rugby league game of the season.

Spirits were high and plenty of encouraging noise from both sets of parents, except one – ME! I lost count of how many people came up to me and said 'WOW what were you drinking last night?' or 'You're too old and wise to go clubbing' etc!

You see – not one unit of alcohol had passed my lips at that point. However, I had launched the Acer TSV that morning at midnight and eventually got into bed at around 3.30am and fell asleep around 4ish – except that was the morning the clocks went forward an hour and it was really 5ish! I somehow raised myself out of bed three hours later but sadly the passing years mean the face needed a good ironing before venturing out (Health & Safety note: only joking!).

If that wasn't enough, several people made a point of coming up to me at the rugby to say they had watched my hilarious efforts at dancing whilst demonstrating the Wii Fit bundle with Abby Surgeon. On top of that we lost to a last second try scored after the ref had called 'final play' when we were two points ahead – ouch!

The saving grace was that when I got home my wife had put the fantastic Kelly Hoppen TSV on our bed and I was able to try and catch up some zzzzzz's 700 THREAD COUNT Egyptian cotton – bliss! Check out Kelly's 'day in the life of' blog too.

In a couple of weeks Jack and I are going on the 'Rock and Roll' rugby club tour to Wales – I will not be dancing but I will be appearing on the last day as Ozzy Osbourne (pics will no doubt follow!)

Hope you had a great weekend too and have a wonderful Mother's Day to come, if you are celebrating it.

Dale x

Crikey Dale, I didn’t get a chance to answer your previous blog; you are definitely on a roll. I too saw you dancing with the Nintendo; you were good, very good actually except every now and again you couldn’t resist breaking into ‘Brucie’, which is just what I would have expected. You made me laugh out loud and that’s very difficult at that time of night. As if that wasn’t enough, it was repeated at least 3 times in the morning with the repeats. I must say I really was impressed. Hope Marion didn’t catch you ‘gyrating’!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also caught the softer side of you when I watched you ice a cupcake (a man of many talents – bet Charlie is green with envy). You were good at that too (eat your heart out Charlie, only joking LOL).
Lounging on 700 thread count sheets; hope a certain someone takes her tablets before reading this!!
The Osbournes – my favourites – my type of people, I love em. I remember when Sharon had bubbles at one of his concerts and Ozzy walked in and, as only Ozzy can say, said, “I can’t have f…… bubbles, I’m the Prince of f…… darkness.” I love the Osbournes; bring them back I say.
    Take care, Gail xxxxxxx

Hi Marian, what a shame you missed Dale strutting his stuff although, for health reasons, perhaps it’s a good job you missed it. Keep the tablets nearby just in case Dale presents the Nintendo again. LOL Gail xxxxxxxx

I have to say, I was watching the wii dancing and I laughed so hard I actually did wee, (having laughed so hard, I started choking). It was one of the funniest things I’ve seen for a long while! LOL

I have received many comments about my dancing ! I aim to please !
If you missed it – it was a cross between Ricky Gervais and the opening titles of “Men Behaving Badly” but a bit camper ! I was stitched up a treat by Abby Surgeon, who was laughing so much she started choking – she also did this when my last dance effort led to a cross between Norman Wisdom and Bruce Forsythe impression ! Luckily my children were in bed and luckily for them – so were their friends. The Nintendo Wii is brilliant fun girls – try it !. Dale x

Dale, I’m getting concerned now. I promise to behave myself on your next blog. x
