Rosemary Merry chats to us about her upcoming show

Rosemary Merry Hi everyone,

As the dark evenings draw in I love to sit with a hot drink and watch some TV, and if you're like me, then I have the ideal show for you! I'll be presenting Crafts Creative Moments at 6pm on Tuesday 9th November on QVC UK.

As well as a great Today's Special Value, you're going to see some brilliant new kits and another that sold out over a year ago, which we've now got back in stock!

Prima paper flowers The last kit I mentioned is the Prima 18 packs of assorted paper flowers with a bottle of 'Got Flowers' which gets an amazing 4.9 out of 5 from customer reviews on the QVC website!

We all know to expect high quality and beautiful design from Prima, and this kit contains an amazing variety of design, colour and shape that will look lovely on your cards, scrapbook pages and mini-projects to give them that extra 'wow' factor.

These flowers look great grouped together, mixing the different designs to highlight a sentiment on a card or to frame a photo. If you're making a mini book they would look lovely used throughout the book to bring cohesion to the project. Why not use them on a tag instead of brads or a ribbon? Definitely a kit to watch out for!

Alpha and numerical plasma templatesAnother kit that I love is the set of alpha and numerical plasma templates. These don't look much when you open them, but QVC customers rate them at 4.5 out of 5 and for good reason! Lettering for scrapbooks and cards is notoriously expensive, but the lovely font design used on these templates means you can make your own letters and numbers from the paper or card of your choice, for years to come!

They're so easy to use – all you do is lay the letter or number down on the front or back of your chosen paper or card, trace around it and then cut out. The font makes the letters and numbers easy to cut out too. We've used these letters for memo boards, scrapbook pages and mini books as well as for cards.

The numbers are a great size for birthday cards and both letters and numbers are so big that you could use them as a place to write your journaling on a scrapbook page or mini book. To add that extra finish why not rub an inkpad around the edge or doodle with a gel pen to give your numbers and letters that extra 'pop'. This is such a useful kit!

I've included a few photos of my work, which I hope you'll enjoy and get some inspiration from too!

I'm really looking forward to the show and I hope you are too.  Mark your calendar, save the date, and I'll see you then!

Love Rosemary x

Thanks to QVC for introducing me and many others to the amazing Rosemary Merry. She is a true inspiration especially for people like myself who are not that confident about our crafting abilities.
What about giving her more scrapbooking shows for people like me who are not really card makers. Lots more American Crafts and loads more of Rosemary. I bought two kits from her last visit and hope to buy more when she visits on the 9th.

I am really looking forward to your show and made sure that someone else is taking the children swimming so I can watch it. I have given up watching QVC Craft as it is all Kanban ‘cut and stick’ and that is no challenge.
I really enjoyed your last show as you have so much variety and your samples as really good. My favourite item was the templates with Artemio.
Please QVC, can we have more shows from Rosemary as the product range she demonstrates is varied and offers something to the more advanced crafter. Also her samples are inspiring.
I do appreaciate that QVC needs to cater to all standards of Crafters, but it does seem to be biased to the beginners and Kanban.

Is so very good to be looking forward to seeing Rosemary Merry back again. QVC, what has happened to your crafting? The range narrows, we have limited presenters, all the big names seem to be staying home; what is going on? Also, the P&P is killing
I love Rosemary Merry; she is talented, skilled, and I am going to be home in time for her show. please let’s have more of her

I really love Rosemary’s shows – she’s a breath of fresh air as most of the other craft shows appear to have become a Dawn Bibby family take over and offer very similar kits – and as for Kanban well plink and plonk is certainly not my style as it is not creative in any way – Rosemary’s kits and layouts are always an inspiration – can we have some more basic grey stuff please along with We R Memory papers paper kits not just heir tools

Rosemary, you are my inspiration and know from my visits to Crab Apple Crafts that you are as lovely in person as you appear on the screen. Thank you so much for introducing your wonderful products and for the ideas and suggestions you give to us all. Special thanks to Debbie for her wonderful designs and to Nige for just being Nige!
I’ll be watching tonight and can’t wait to see what you’ll entice me to spend my money on this time!!!

Rosemary, I absolutely love it when you are on QVC and your samples are always absolutely stunning.
I particularly enjoy the beautiful scrapbook pages and mini albums and other altered art items.
However, I do wish that the people at QVC wouldn’t consistently use your shows as an opportunity to sell tape runners and the like and kits that have been around for ages, like old TSV’s.
They are really wasting your talent and their opportunity to showcase beautiful new products.
Keep up the good work. Your crafting is a true inspiration to us all.
PS I’m really looking forward to todays show and have re-scheduled our dinner time to fit!

  14. Carolyn November 9, 2010 at 9:23 am -  Reply

It’s already timed in! Apart from the TSV, Rosemary’s shows are the only craft shows I watch on QVC now. They are so informative.

Rosemary,I missed your last show as I was away, but I’m looking forward to tonight’s show. You are a real inspiration for crafters who don’t just want ‘cut & paste’.So much of QVC crafting time is taken up with demos of different adhesives! Yes we all need them, but just how many times do you need to be shown a sticky dot ?!! But please QVC could we have more variety ? It’s disappointing to wait for a show and then find there’re very few new products – and do we have to wait so long between Rosemary’s shows ?

I’m always so excited when Rosemary is on QVC is she’s a total inspiration, not only for scrapbooking but her cards are just quite beautiful. If she says something is good, then it always is. Whenever we’ve visited her shop, and we live quite a long way away, she always remembers us (it could have been the matching yellow kagouls!!) and is SO helpful. I wish QVC would give her a regular slot – something like Dawn – for us to keep abreast of scrapbooking creations and hints. So looking forward to tonight immensely.

Can’t wait to see your show tonight, Rosemary. You are truly inspirational for someone like me who enjoys making mini-books and scrapbook layouts. I love your presentation style, you always take great pains to explain, in the limited time that QVC allows you, how one can use the products that are being demonstrated.
To QVC: As a long time customer, in my humble opinion, I think it is time to broadcast more of Rosemary Merry’s shows and more shows with guests from different craft related companies rather than the same old boring, almost soap-opera like craft programmes that are currently shown. Thank you!

Rosemary is QVC’s greatest craft asset.Everything she does is from the heart and we should see much more of her.Her talent, enthusiasm and personality shine through and she is so inspirational. I agree she should not be wasted demonstrating run of the mill products like gluedots etc but should be encouraged to bring us our fave companies such as Basic Grey, WRMK papers, Pink Paisley, Kaiser Craft, My Minds Eye etc etc. Her samples are brilliant and her love of family and friends is obvious While I don’t purchase from them, the other craft channel is definately way ahead on new products and their postage is more realistic. Come on QVC, step up to the mark. Let us see less Kanban, less peel offs, cheaper postage and MORE, MORE, MORE Rosemary Merry!!

Hiya I just LOVE LOVE LOVE all Rosemary’s shows. Her inspiration and style is FAB and one I adore. There aren’t enough scrapbooking shows on QVC. Tuesday’s is getting alittle boring now and I find that I only tune in to Rosemary’s shows. Rosemary comes over really lovely and passionate about her craft, and the retreats that she does (with Nige) are AMAZING. xx

I love Rosemary’s shows, and will be going home early from work to tune in. It would be lovely to see Rosemary on QVC more often, and more craft on QVC in general in the evenings and at weekends, I’ve no recording facilities. Perhaps the shows could be recorded by QVC and available in a similar way to the BBC’s iPlayer? perfect

Hi Rosemary, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all your shows on QVC and if I am working I tape your shows to play back later. You are an inspiration to us all and indeed you got me into scrapbooking and I now have two VERY LARGE books and they are such GREAT memories to look after and treasure. I too have met yourself and your lovely family and have to agree you are as lovely and as natural in person as on tv. Your enthusiasm captures all our card making and scrapping needs. Keep up the good work and Take Care.

Rosemary, you were my inspiration… I have been scrapbooking for two and a half years now, I didnt want to do Greeting Cards as you give those away, but I wanted to do ‘something!’ Then I watch QVC and there is was! you were demonstrating a Scrapbooking Kit, a great way to be creative and I get to keep the results… brilliant! I have now branched out into Cardmaking as I dont feel so bad about giving away my creations. I cant get up to your studio at Crab Apple Crafts so I get my ‘fix’ by watching you on QVC (And I have to say the kits are great value for money as well as inspirational) and via your website and of course Nige’s emails… Great!! Keep up the good work…

I love scrapbooking & always watch Rosemary – she presents such lovely items & has really inspirational mini books, folded paper & hidden journalling ideas. not so keen on all the glues & boring stuff tho’. more scrapbooking shows please. I’m not keen on the gaudy, shiny kanban materials – less of these please!

Great show, Rosemary. Lovely products. How unbelievable was that Anna Griffin ‘one time only’…i was lucky enough to get one before they sold out, so I’m thrilled.
Love your ideas. It’s great to see the products demonstrated in such fresh new ways.
Can we have more of Rosemary’s crafting on QVC, please? I am a scrapbooker, and love her shows soooo much. Thanks.

At last someone else other than Dawn Bibby.Crafters need inspiration and information we all know how to cut and stick, I dont watch QVC craft any more because it is all Kanban.Lovely to see Rosemary a breath of fresh air.

Oh how I wish we could see more of Rosemary Merry on QVC. Her hours are so informative and interesting and yet she is often sidelined (on craft day her meagre hour was cut into by almost 25 mins by an airing of the TSV) It would be wonderful if Rosemary could have regular slots at QVC rather than having to ‘track her down’ as you never know when she will be on. PLEASE QVC – give us some more of Rosemary’s shows and lots more scrapbooking.
Her quiet inspiration is a delight – I do hope we get to see her a bit more often

I love Rosemarys shows- I rarely watch other QVC crafting shows, as I find they are the same old matting and layering techniques.(in fact very little techniques) And i would like to see much more American crafts products. Also the QVC postage is very expensive- the other craft channel can reduce and/or combine the postage, So come on QVC!!

Loved last night’s show. It was a real inspirational hour. Lots of ideas to get the creative juices flowing. I only watch QVC now when Rosemary is on as am bored rigid with the card making , Kanban set. Rosemary’s craft is so different to other presenters and really makes you enthusiastic about scrapbooking and paper crafting etc. Rosemary is so clever with one piece of paper I just love trying out all of her ideas. Lots more of Rosemary , pleeeeeeeease!!

Thanks QVC. Great to see Rosemary on, we just don’t get enough of her and quite frankly I am rather fed up with the same old stuff on card making etc.,Scrapbookers are so badly neglected by Qvc at times. hope now Rosemary is back that will get rectified.
I’m a long term regular viewer and quite frankly have been turning over to other channels to try and get more ideas etc for scrapbooking.Love when Rosemary is on,pity she always has her shows cut by Tsv minutes, don’t you think we deserve regular hours with her after all she is a true expert, and Qvc always get the best…So more please…Keep up the good work Rosemary and Qvc

Lovely to see Rosemary again. There are only so many times you need to make a card but I have hundreds of photos to scrap and Rosemary has such fab examples/ideas. She had some grrreat kits and I particularly liked the Anna Griffin one. I ordered 2 My Minds Eye kits when she was previously presenting (one for my Sisters Christmas prezzy and one for me). Please give us more Rosemary and more Scrap Booking.

Loved the Rosemary show last night. She is my favourite craft presenter and gives me lots of ideas for fab projects. There is not enough Rosemary on QVC. Why can’t she do the 2 hour Tuesday shows???

Loved the show Rosemary. The high P&P always makes me think twice but I couldn’t resist those ‘poppyseed’ papers. Happy with the show time too, I oftain miss craft shows because they are on while I’m at work.

I’m a bit late adding this post, Rosemary but that won’t surprise you! I loved the show and the beautiful samples. I just so wish that QVC would listen to us and have you on a lot, lot more. You give us all such wonderful ideas and are always so ready to answer questions and give advice. I agree with previous posts – we’ve had enough Kanban etc – let’s have much more Rosemary, doing what she does best and giving us inspirational ideas.

I agree with every single person who has commented here. Rosemary it was just so great to see you on Tuesday. You are such an inspiration and there MUST be more of you on QVC. I recently attended one of your retreats and it has inspired me so much. I feel like I am really crafting now. You and Nige are such lovely warm people. I like everyone else, have stopped watching QVC craft. I am fed up with the other so called craft experts, there really is no inspiration from them at all. Would love to see more, My Minds Eye, Echo Park, Kaiser Craft, Basic Grey, more altered and beyond the page products. I hope that QVC read these comments and take them on board.

    Embellishments by the bag full.
    Craft bags.
    £300 worth of pleasure;)
    Who is a happy bunny?
    Rosemary is SIMPLY THE BEST
She should be given two hour slots.
Okay my purse would suffer but it would be woth it!!!
