Ronni Nicole designer on the Fashion Weekend TSV

Ouida OliverThis weekend 19th – 20th February is all about fashion, and our Fashion Weekend Today's Special Value is a fabulous Ronni Nicole dress.

We recently caught up with the designer behind the brand Ouida Oliver, who tells us more about the dress, the design and her inspiration.

Ouida sketchingBeing the design director @ Team Ronni Nicole is an exciting and exhilarating position. I love my job!!! Creating comfortable, chic, affordable clothing for modern women is a dream come true. Our TSV is a variation on one of our best-selling styles of last summer. It was in solid jersey and we decided to find a beautiful rose spring print to bring it up to 2011.

Ouida sketching the TSV I love the abstract rose print on this dress – black and white with a pop of colour is a classic combination that you can wear for years to come. The gentle criss-cross neckline and a bodice shirred into a subtle oval of black jet beads makes this dress a phenomenal fit.

Ouida at work on the TSV This beautiful dress is flattering to a multitude of shapes and sizes and is made in our classic jersey fabric so it's easy to pack for a holiday and can be hand washed. When co-ordinating a collection for each season I take into consideration what the major trends are in worldwide fashion.

Ouida working on the TSV Prints, colours and silhouettes are all a reflection of what is happening throughout all areas of fashion at the moment. Watch out for more beautiful placement and border prints in bright pops of colour, as well as more exciting trims on dresses, maxis, tops and trousers this summer!

Make sure you friend us on Facebook at “Team Ronni Nicole”!
Warm regards,

    Hello Ouida
I love wearing Ronni Nicole’s dresses. I think you are a genuis because the o so slim lining in your dresses smooths out lumps and bumps and makes the dresses very figure flattering.
You dresses are simply the best. They are very well made and reasonably priced and the best thing is that they do not require ironing.
I get lots of compliments when I wear your dresses.
Thank you for your stunning dresses.

    Hi Ouida,
It’s great to see you back with more of your beautiful dresses and a TSV as well. I have this dress in the block colour (Royal blue) and it fits and wears like a dream and no ironing required. So it’s a real treat to have it in a floral and am sure it will cheer us all up just in time for spring. You can be assured that yourself and Julia will be on a screen in my sittting room tonight at midnight for a bit of late night shopping.
There is one thing I would like to ask you, QVC are currently running a promo video and I have caught a glimps of two dresses that I really must have. The first is right at the begining it looks like it’s the Cleopatra style in a bright coloured floral print with a black band around the neckline with large jet crystals. The second appears later, it looks like it might be a maxi style but it only shows the top. It has a white or cream background with a large floral print in pale pink and yellow (might be hydrangeas?). I have searched the entire QVC inventory for these but can’t find them. Will they be coming to us in the summer?
All there is left for me to say is please keep bringing us more of these dresses, I have two homes one here and the other in Florida, so I have two wardrobes to fill ( well thats my excuse anyway). I hope tou have a great day
    Christina. X

AT LAST!!!! A Ronni Nicole dress I can order that will be long enough!! I have tried so many times but they all fit above my knee ( I am not tall only 5ft. 5inch. but even a young 60year old does not want to show her knees -“mutton dressed as lamb” comes to mind!) Please please Ouida More 40-41inch length dresses.

Love your jersey beaded dress on QVC but would love for you to make it in a longer length about 40 inches long, please.
