Hope you’re all well and looking forward to being done with January as we slowly push our way through winter and into spring. I think there are lots of reasons why we’re quite happy to see the back of this month.
For many of us, it’s simply good to get another payday after the expense of Christmas, for others it’s getting another chance to go again or even revise a little our New Years resolutions. Sometimes we can be a tad over ambitious and need to be a little more realistic with our goals (and easier on ourselves too!).
In my own experience, one of the reasons I set such harsh goals is because usually, when I’m actually setting them, the current over-indulgences and excesses of the Christmas period that I’m partaking in can be justified in my own mind! So for me it goes something like: ‘Yes of course I can have that sixth mince pie today, don’t you know that come January all I’ll be living off is celery and still water?’
Then reality hits in when it’s subzero temperatures outside and the sausage, mash and onion gravy that you’re cooking for everyone else just looks a bit too good to pass. Anyone out there know what I’m even remotely referring to, or is this just ‘Anne’s world’?
Of course, this is all assuming that we fall in with the bulk of the population and our New Years’ resolutions involve some sort of weight loss regime.
In my last blog I mentioned that I was on the same page as Catherine regarding this subject, and that all the Christmas goodies had to be cleared (eaten) from my cupboards before starting a healthy eating programme. Well here we are at the end of the month, and I still haven’t begun. Instead, I’ve replenished those cupboards with even more supplies.
Still, aren’t we grateful for new beginnings? Aren’t we glad that we get a new day every 24 hours, a new week after seven days etc? You get my drift? I am!
It means that come February, I can press the restart button on my goals and get going again, so watch this space.
My goal in 2018 (just to remind myself here) is that I want to be in the best shape – physically and mentally – for my time of life (good grief, I sound like some kind of aging dinosaur!). Now you may well be wondering what on earth does that all has to do with the Elemis Today’s Special Value available online now and coming up on-air this Saturday? Well quite a lot actually!
This is the very first Elemis Today’s Special Value for 2018, and it’s brand-spanking new. Very exciting indeed! It’s the four-piece Superfood Collection. It looks great, watch Will Gowing’s video for more info.

But more importantly than how it looks on the bathroom shelf (or sink for that matter), is how it’s going to make our skin look and feel! This is our new dietary/supplement programme for glowing, healthy looking skin to accompany the new healthy glowing you for 2018!
You get the first three steps to a premium skincare routine:
Step one: brand new cleansing Superfood Facial Wash, which is absolutely gorgeous (think vibrant health)
Step two:a glorious Superfood Facial Oil which many of us have been loving the results for some time now
Step three: the fabulous accompanying Day Cream, the results are a beautifully hydrated and glowing, youthful look to your skin
You also have the amazing Papaya Enzyme Peel that can be used a couple of times a week to get rid of all those dead skin cells and prepare the way for everything else, which is (as they’ve been saying) ‘a smoothie for the skin’.
Simply divine! Get yours online now or tune in for the launch at midnight Saturday 3rd February. Then, you can catch it with yours truly (meaning myself of course) first thing at 9am Saturday morning.
Oops, one more resolution for me this year, and that is to try to be a bit more ‘on it’ with getting back to you lovely people who leave comments. So please refer to the previous couple of blogs, and stay in touch. Keep me on track!
Lots of love to you all,
