Organisation and patience are key
If you've never used Red Carpet Manicure before you'll love the long-lasting results and glossy finish – you just have to follow the instructions meticulously to achieve that salon-style look.
Now, this type of manicure cannot be done in a flash, you have to set aside at least one hour to apply the polish, set your nails under the LED light and so on.
When you come to pamper yourself don't forget a large pot of tea and a packet of biscuits, plus make sure the hubby and kids are out of the way – it's the perfect excuse for a bit of 'me time'.
Before you apply Red Carpet Manicure, make sure all your bottles of polish, solutions and accessories are lined up in order of use; follow the instructions properly and you can't go wrong.
If you find your nail polish chips easily or you have to reapply on a daily basis due to your lifestyle (being on the farm daily, I have to reapply every day to go on air for work!), then this is the manicure collection for you.
When I take care to apply nail polish from other brands, my manicure will last for a maximum of three days. But when I use Red Carpet Manicure, it can last two to three weeks with no touch-ups. The colour/finish doesn't crack, chip, lift or fade; it stays really glossy as if it's a wet varnish.
I've tried out the French and Fabulous option and been wearing it for eight days now and my manicure still looks as good as new. The French technique does take a little longer than block colour, but the collection comes with French tips guides to give you a helping hand.
Top tip: if your nails grow very quickly, then I'd recommend applying very thin coats of the gel polish so that when your nails do grow you won't get a ridge. Another tip is that the more you tidy up your cuticles before applying Red Carpet the better the effect will be. If your cuticles are thick and coarse you won't get a smooth edge.
You can apply regular nail polish over the top
If you want to change the colour of your nails with a fashion shade for just one night, you can apply your regular nail polish over the top of Red Carpet, then remove it with nail varnish remover and your Red Carpet manicure will still be intact – genius!
Take the time to take it off
NEVER have your Red Carpet Manicure or semi-permanent nail polishes taken off by buffing; this will damage the base of your nails. You should always dissolve your Red Carpet with the solutions provided. It does take a good half an hour to dissolve the polish off – again, follow the instructions carefully.
