Ready for planting on my 12th anniversary

Erythrina or 'the lucky bean tree' I'm like a kid in a sweet shop at the moment. Not only is it the 12th anniversary week of my garden shows on QVC but also my new garden is nearly ready for planting.

We've got a great week of shows planned to celebrate the 12th anniversary. Don't miss them, as we got some special anniversary pricing so it's a great time to get some special plants at special prices.

We've got shows coming up at our regular times on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as some one-off specials, so do check the TV schedule for more details. Hopefully for the Saturday show Julian will have baked me a cake to celebrate…miracles can happen!

The other news this week is that my greenhouse arrives next week! I can't wait to fill it with plants and start off my tomatoes. Due to delays in finishing the garden, I'm a bit later than I would have wished but the miserable weather in March and early April meant that the young plants haven't grown as quickly as usual.

But now the weather has warmed up so anything planted up now will romp away. I'll also be giving them a kick start with my Young Plant Feed and that will also help enormously.

I did manage to get a few days away in Spain last weekend where I saw this amazing flowering tree in the picture above. It's called Erythrina or 'the lucky bean tree'. It's just as well that it won't grow in our colder climate or I'd be trying to fit one of these in my garden too!

Happy gardening.
