Honora guest Ralph Rossini reveals their upcoming TSV

Ralph RossiniHi everyone,

My next shows are rapidly approaching and I cannot wait to bring you a Today's Special Value that we have never been able to do before – either in the UK or the US!

Honora have finally collected enough 8mm – 9mm cultured keishi pearls that we are able to bring you a 46cm (18") necklace at extraordinary value for money.

If you're unsure about what keishi pearls are, I'll explain what makes them so special so you can get as excited about the TSV as I am!

Incredible lustre

The first thing you need to know about keishi pearls is that they happen to be some of the most lustrous pearls available! Cultured keishi pearls are what we call "second generation pearls", in other words, they are pearls that form after the first wave of freshwater pearls have already been removed from the molluscs.

Once the first round of pearls are removed from freshwater molluscs, they are placed back in the water to grow second generation pearls with incredible lustre. As the pearl molluscs mature, they develop a brighter lustre which is why you will notice an almost metallic sheen coming off of them.

Natural beginnings

Unlike most cultured pearls, there is no nucleus or irritant used to start the growth of keishi pearls. Once the molluscs are placed back into the water, pearl growth continues in the crevasses that once held the original harvest of freshwater pearls. This means that even though man is helping to the start the cultivation process, keishi pearls are still the closest cultured pearl to 'natural' on the market today.

Until recently, there weren't enough keishi pearls available on the market to bring a significant volume of these beautiful pearls to QVC in the kinds of quanitity required for a Today's Special Value. As cultured pearl harvests have increased, so has the production of high-quality keishi pearls and we are finally able to bring cultured keishi pearls to you in a big way!

It took a little patience and a lot of collecting on our part, but I really think you are going to fall in love with these unique and vibrant pearls. We are bringing this necklace to QVC in our newest colours – Sky Blue, fan favourite Cherry and classic White. We're also treating you to one of our newest colour combinations, but I think I'll leave that one as a surprise!

I look forward to seeing you on Friday 9th July for over eight hours of fabulous pearl jewellery!

Until then,

Tune on for Honora Pearls at 12am – 2am, 12pm, 3pm – 5pm and 8pm – 10pm on Friday 9th July.

See more from Honora Pearls

Hi Ralph, I can not wait to see the Friday’s TSV. I love all the Honora range of pearls especially with all the different colour that makes them all so different, but yet so special and addictive.
My best to you all at Honora and those minxies at QVC, too!

I know I really shouldn’t but I know I really will add the Keishi pearls to my already bulging jewellery wardrobe. I have been wearing pearls since my wedding day in 1951 even when they were not in fashion I always had a string even though they were not cultured then but now thy are and I adore them especially at the fantastic quality and price Ralph indulges us with. Thank you so much QVC.

    Hi Ralph
Just read your teasing description of Honora’s T.S.V. due on Friday and there I was, going to have an early night. I don’t think so now!!
You’ve picked Cherry, a colour which I have fallen in love with (already have 4 pieces in this colour) and Keishi pearls which are my favourite shape at the moment. In fact I am on the Waitlist for the Grey Keishi and Coin Pearl necklace. That little mollusc is so productive – eh.
How about something in Red, White and Blue for 2012 Olympics?
Hope you had an enjoyable Independance Day and see you Friday at 12.
    Joan (from Camberley)

    Hello Ralph,
I have been watching your shows for years but never bought anything until the last time you came on QVC. I needed a quick present for an upcoming party,so I bought the set of 7 drop earrings with different coloured pearls. I was actually amazed at the quality. The shine on the pearl was superb and I did not expect that for the price! I ended up keeping 5 of them and gave only 2 away
I am looking forward to the TSV.
These are seriously good quality pearls folks!!

    Hi all,
I am just about to get on a plane for my visit and I am overwhelmed at all the lovely responses to my blog. It is an exciting TSV and I can’t wait to present it. I have a feeling the phones are going to be pretty busy but I promise it will be worth the wait. I also just want to say how much I enjoy all of your phone calls when I am on-air and I hope to hear from as many of you as possible.
    See you soon,

    Hi Ralph,
I have quite a lot of your lovely pearls and have hidden away a few for my 11 year oold daughter too. I am wondering if your floating pearl necklaces are coming back any time soon (Item no:685413). I have a special reason – my daughter won a scholarship to a lovely school earlier in the year & I asked her what she would like as a congratulatory present – she asked for one of your white floating pearl necklaces – sadly they have been out of stock now for some months. She still wants to wait for “what she really wants”. Any chance of them coming back soon?
PS – any chance of more necklaces in 50/55cm lenths?

I would really like to see some of your original floater necklaces back.
I had a pair of the matching ear rings but managed to lose one.
I would love to have a grey floater necklace.

Hi Ralph, please please can you do a TSV necklace for us girls who cannot wear an 18 inch necklace as our necks are too large, the previous TSV that you did,the floating pearl necklace, was stunning but alas too small yet again.A 22 inch necklace of any design would be wonderful.
Look forward to Fridays show,Love to you all.

another plea for longer length necklaces, very unfair that larger ladies cannot wear you lovely pieces and seem to be excluded all the time Jane

Hi Ralph, Look forward to the TSV on Friday. Have quite a few pieces of Honora Pearls and just love them. I unfortunally caught one of my longer necklaces and it snapped. Just wondering if there is anyplace i could send it to get fixed.
Love to everyone at Honora and QVC.

Hi Ralph. Love your pearls. Sadly have only been able to buy your lovely earrings. As a previous lady said, 18″ is just too small would appreciate if you could bring 22″. Love your show, can’t wait for Friday.

Hi Ralph,Was always a gem girl until last year when i ordered a pearl necklace from you, which was on pp free. Claire persuaded me to order it by saying, what have you got to lose because i wasnt paying pp, that was it!!!! fallen in love with your pearls and have since added another necklace, 6 bracelets, 3 pairs of ear rings and a keishi necklace for my daughter who also was a gem girl. Your pearls are absolutely fabulous and i cant wait to see your TSV on friday. Chris Wales

Beautiful, stunning wow!!!I am visiting New York in September and will certainly be calling in to make a purchase from the “boutique on Madison” Looking forward to the show x

Thoroughly enjoy watching your shows and regrettably almost bankrupt buying most items on offer. I would like to make a request on behalf of myself and perhaps others. Having quite a large neck the 45cm/18″ necklaces are quite snug and I find that 50cm/20″ is much better for me. However, this size appears rarely. I have bought lots of 100cm but would love the option for more choice in 50cm/20″ size if possible.

Hello Ralph, I am a lover of your oh so beautiful pearls as well and my most admired pieces are the Floaters. Could you please bring them back? Like the other Ladies, I would love to buy some more sets of Floaters. They are just stunning and so easy to wear everyday if I want! Thankyou for your wonderful pearls.

    Hi Ralph,
so very VERY excited about your next TSV, as I absolutely adore Keishi pearls.
I love all your pearls & have a seperate jewlery box for them, as I now own so many….
But I have one tiny little moan, which never seems to go away…you do so many wonderful earrings…but they are 99 times out of a 100, in silver….many of us ladies cannot wear silver!
So please, please, can we have some of your wonderful drop earings in gold….please!!!!! (yes I know that they would be more expensive….but we trust your quality, therefore we would not mind paying that extra money to have some beautiful drop earrings in gold!!!)
    love & hugs
    Kris (St Helens)
