QVC introduces a new star from the royal family

6

Duke sitting on a black leather chair I was very fortunate the other day to be joined by a new guest, who I have to say shone like a star and won everyone’s hearts. His name is Duke and he has a very regal lineage as he is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

We were talking 'All about Pets' and Duke was our model for collars, bedding and some rather funky pet couture. He was particularly taken with his hooded water-resistant raincoat from Michelle Hope but I thought he looked his best in the military-style dog harness, very butch!

Duke's owner, Christine, from our web team brought him in and, although he had Duke at work, sitting on Christine's desknever been on TV, he sat there as though it was his normal job. He lounged on the mat, he wore the collars and the hoodies and he especially liked being carried around under my other guest's arm (Pippa Shepherd) in a particularly glamorous leopard-print dog carrier. Christine assures me that he was enjoying himself, especially as she was by his side all the way!

Duke is now available for corporate launches, the opening of new buildings, weddings, bar mitzvas… I only take 20%!

Let me know if you caught Duke's star performance and what you thought…

I did catch Duke’s very regal proformance.
    What a Star!
Animals that are totally confident and well ballanced are a real treat. I hope we see more of Duke, He’s a real pro.

    Hi Simon,
I caught the show & thought that Duke was a professional ‘model’. He was brilliant! He was so calm & looked really good in his Michelle Hope accessories!
But then I suppose I’m a bit biased because I’m sitting here writing this with my young tri colour Cavi on my lap! They are the most wonderful pets & very calm & loving. If you were allowed to sell them you’d be selling a million just from Duke’s performance!
I’m looking forward to seeing Duke do his ‘modelling’ again!
    Best wishes,
    Susie & Ollie the Cavalier

He was sooooooooo cute and obviously well brought up!! He looked lovely in the little outfits. I wanted to give him a big cuddle. I hope he is on again soon…but not when i’m trying to do some work.

I thought Duke looked unhappy and worried not to mention embarrased! Wouldnt like to see the little fella put through all that again to be honest!

Thanks so much for all the comments.
Duke’s owner, Christine, assures me that he really enjoyed himself and wouldn’t have taken part at all if he hadn’t. I thought he looked very regal and to a certain extent a little above it all. I hope to see him strut his stuff again and maybe an agent isn’t out of the question!
