QVC products making light work of bank holiday jobs

I have to say it doesn’t matter which room you are in when at my house, but like many of you I’m sure, it won’t be hard to find QVC products hard at work!

How lovely has it been to enjoy the sunshine and warmth this weekend? I decided to get various jobs done, starting with tackling the weeds on the patio. However, rather than just going for it, I decided to run my own consumer trial and so went and bought a well recognised leading brand and used that on some and Richard Jackson’s Weedkiller Concentrate on the rest.

Here are the weeds before:

I have to say there’s a clear winner! In the pictures below you can see the results from the other brand on the left, and Richard Jackson on the right Not only did RJ’s weedkiller prove itself to be way more effective, it was also a lot easier. I didn’t need to keep the animals away from it and it didn’t mark the ground around it as you can see on the patio, the other one made a clear ring around the weed which created a whole new job… not my idea of fun! Richard Jackson weedkiller wins!

So moving on from the weedkilling, one of our exciting additions to the family has been my husband’s motorbike! I’m yet to purchase a helmet and my own leathers (I’m much happier in jodphurs and riding boots!) but the temptation to bring out the Showroom Shine was far too much to bear. She looked gorgeous by the time I was done with her. (Before you say my husband should clean his own bike, I have to say he enjoys cleaning my saddle and bridle so it seems a good trade off!)

Talking of riding… I bought Beth today! She’s now fully mine. I am almost exploding with excitement, that’ll be a whole blog of its own though!

Hair Collage

Finally, the bank holiday weekend was finished with an impromptu bi-annual haircut for my daughter. I always forget how much her hair bounces up after a cut, once it was dry it sat almost above her shoulders ….oops! Her gorgeous curls are always managed by Percy and Reed Intensive Oil and despite the fact that it’s almost short, it looks lovely.

Look forward to catching up with you soon

Much love

Pipa x

Pipa – is it my imagination, or do we see a lot less of you since your marriage (not that I’d blame you)?

Used to love those shows when you asked customers to tweet in their favourite film – absolutely hysterical – they were the best shows ever. Makes shows much more interesting than just detailing the item number, price, colour etc.

    Miss you.

Hi Susanne, thank you for your lovely message, I’m touched!! Yes since moving to Warwickshire, I now only work at QVC 8 days a month. I’m around still, just not as much as before. We have had lots of fun over the years haven’t we? The fun continues I promise, just a little less often. Thank you for taking the time to write to me, I really appreciate your kind words! Best wishes, Pipa xxx

Ha ha thanks Veronica! Brian has found a motorcycle course he’s booking me in on so I can learn to do it myself. I’m a bit chicken having once driven full speed into a large prickly bush many years ago on a moped ….I still don’t understand why the brake and the accelerator are on the same side!!!!! I haven’t ridden pillion yet but you certainly make it sound fun. Our plan is to do a trip around France on bikes for Brian’s 50th …a few years to go so I need to get some miles under my belt! xx
