Inside QVC: Who makes the graphics you see on QVC?

There's a lot of creativity involved in bringing you the most eye-catching and informative promos that you see before, after and during your favourite QVC shows.

We caught up with Marc who is our Broadcast Graphics Manager at QVC to find out a little bit more about what the graphics team does at QVC...

'I am the Broadcast Graphics Manager at QVC and my teams include the Motion Graphic Designers as well as Production Graphics staff that look after the content of our on-screen graphics during shows.

My Designers are always looking for new and exciting ways to promote the events and products that our Promotions Producers have been asked to advertise. In fact, all of the graphic elements you see on our promotions would've been created by the designers!

Great examples of our work can be seen on the Around the World in 80 Gems, European Tour, Canon demo and Anything Goes promotions to name but a few.

Breaking news: Julia's book is coming soon to QVC

We're a buzz of excitement here at QVC as the news breaks that Julia Robert's book 'One Hundred Lengths of the Pool' will soon be available to buy on QVC. It's not a novel or even an autobiography exactly, but a selection of stories across Julia's life - and she has got some interesting, amusing and meaningful stories to share.

Behind the scenes with our QVC Promotions Team

There's a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes here at QVC to produce the shows that you love!

We caught up with Jason, our Promotions Supervisor, to find out a little bit more about his job at QVC...

'I am the Promotions Supervisor but I also produce and direct promo campaigns for QVC. It's a really busy job as I not only look after the day to day workloads of the team (we have 9 producers) but I manage my own projects as well.

There are the weekly meetings where we decide what is to be made as well as daily approvals of content for not only on air but on the web too; it's a busy office where no two days are ever the same.

From shooting on location, to editing in the suites, to directing voice over talent to catching up with the team - it can sometimes feel a bit like a juggling act - but the end results are usually really rewarding as the job is so creative.

What goes on behind the scenes at QVC?

Have you ever wondered what it's like to work behind the scenes at QVC? We spoke with one of our set dressers to find out a little bit more...

"My role as a set dresser at QVC is very varied and we work in a small team of four in-house Studio Set Dressers. We work long hours but we only work 15 days in a month, which we spend in the live studios, and we have one prop buying day or a styling day for shooting promo videos.

On an early shift, I will start work at 6:30am (unsociable I know) by reading my emails that may inform me about show changes and/or particular shows that need specific dressing or props. I then look through the day's schedule and start planning my day.

At about 7am, I take a quick walk around all of our studios and usually the person who was on the night shift has helped me out by prepping parts of my first show. This is what we try to do for one another.
