Last Friday morning you may have seen a new face on The Morning Show. No it wasn't a new presenter, but GMTV viewer Julie Martin.
GMTV are currently running a scheme to help boost the confidence of people out of work or struggling to find a job in the current economic climate. Julie was successfully chosen and has been working with a life coach to help build her confidence and cope in situations that are out of her comfort zone.
So, what better way to do this than put Julie through her paces on live TV?!
Julie was briefed on the art of live TV by our very own Pipa Gordon, then she chose a Kipling bag to present on air and was finally put to the test on The Morning Show with Kathy Tayler.
Take a look at her debut presentation…

QGossip caught up with Julie Martin after her live stint on QVC, and she told us how she found the daunting experience…
"While I was on air I felt like an ice cream melting, my legs were like jelly - I was definitely out of my comfort zone.
I was made redundant at the end of last year, and having spent the last ten months running the family home and applying for job after job with no prevail, I became very disheartened. Then I heard about this scheme with GMTV, applied online and thought nothing of it. And look what they've got me doing!
If you told me a year ago that I was going to present on live TV I would have thought you were having a laugh. So, for the past couple of days I've been watching QVC more intensely to pick up tips from the presenters.
I loved every minute of it and I don't think I've smiled so much in the last 10 months! Who knows what else GMTV have in store for me…"
