Dale's favourite room

Dale Franklin Hi all!

Everyone has a favourite room in their home, and mine is my living room. We've lived in our house for over 16 years and have talked of moving many times - but we've been so happy here as a family. It's the room that holds so many memories for me, some wonderful some not so.

The decor relaxes me - in the winter months we have an open coal and log fire, it's so cosy and warm. I love relaxing in there after a long shift at work, as well as just chilling with my family.

Dale's living roomIt's the room where we open presents on birthdays and at Christmas. We also have lots of family photos in there, which is lovely. My children respect it as a 'grown up' room, so thankfully, it stays relatively tidy.

What's your favourite room in your home? Let me know by leaving a comment.

Love
Dale x

Emma Lamport tells us what's new from Tiffany Style Lighting

Emma Lamport Emma Lamport is the face of Tiffany Style Lighting and yesterday she celebrated her eighth year at QVC. Here she tells us about the trends in interior design, what's new for Tiffany Style Lighting, and shows us what her own home is like.

What's new for Tiffany Style Lighting?

We have three great new pieces and all of are very different. There's the Amber Mosaic Fireplace Screen which features original mosaic panels accented with black, cast iron detailing. The rich autumnal colours make it ideal for updating your living space with next season's trends without having to redecorate.

Next up is the Pearlised Lit Base Table Lamp. I love the blues, creams and azure shades in this piece which is reminiscent of the ocean. The base almost reminds me of the Greek goddess of the sea, Aphrodite - rising from the ocean and bringing a magical touch to your lighting.

And finally, there's the Rose Designed Table Lamp. The forest greens and burnt reds are gorgeous autumnal shades which, again, are prefect as we enter the autumn season. The dark rich shades will look fantastic when lit - the reflections against a neutral background will create a focal point in itself.

Orlando answers your DIY questions

Orlando decoratingHello there! This weekend was Home Day at QVC and, with the focus on all things homely, hopefully you picked up some ideas on things you could do to your own homes.

So while you're still inspired, I think it's the perfect time to answer some of your most common DIY questions.

If you've got any DIY questions for me, you can post them in the comments section below and I'll do my best to answer them.

I'm having problems decorating my bathroom. Do you have any tips?

Decorating your bathroom can be tricky, but you'll make the job much easier if you consider these key points:

1. Be methodical
2. Have the right tools to hand, including a tile cutter, an angle grinder, and a damp sponge to wipe off any excess adhesive.

Here are my steps for doing a professional-looking job on your bathroom.

Susie Adams from Northern Nights gives you her tips for a blissful night's sleep

Bedroom sceneYesterday we caught up with Susie Adams from Northern Nights and chatted about the things we can do to get a refreshing night's sleep.

How do you prepare for bed?

If I have some peace and quiet of an evening, I like to have a warm bath first. I set the scene in my bathroom with Yankee Candles. Scents really affect your mood and some of my favourites are fresh linen and spring rose bouquet. Then, I like to indulge in something sensual like L'Occitane - perhaps with lavender to relax me even more.
