QVC's Sandra raises money for Breast Cancer Care

Sandra is a senior beauty buyer here at QVC and we're extremely proud of her success at the London Marathon a few weeks ago. She completed the run in five hours and 14 minutes, and as a beauty buyer she naturally looks gorgeous despite having just run 26.2 miles!

Sandra ran for one of our corporate charities Breast Cancer Care and has so far raised a whopping £3.5k for them - amazing! Her Just Giving fundraising page is still live, so you can make a donation to Breast Cancer Care on there if you would like to.

Today Breast Cancer Care have just launched their brand new ad campaign and we'd like to share it with all of you in support of this fabulous charity.

This campaign is all about seeing the woman underneath the illness and the treatment through the emotional and practical support that they offer every person who is affected by breast cancer.

Join Breast Cancer Care for Carols by Candlelight

Celebrate Christmas and support Breast Cancer Care with the charity's annual carol service. It's a truly magical night that raises vital funds for Breast Cancer Care.

The service will be held at St Paul's Church in Knightsbridge on Monday 5th December 2011 at 7pm. By the light of hundreds of candles, the Westminster Under School Junior Choir will sing Christmas carols and there will be readings from celebrity guests Dan Stevens and Zoe Wanamaker as well as our own Alison Keenan who will deliver a special reflection. 

After the carol service, you will also be invited to enjoy warming mince pies, hot roasted chestnuts and wine - delicious! Plus, for those interested, the charity is also hosting an intimate supper at the nearby Lanesborough Hotel.

Well it's been a busy week at QVC!

We had Diamonique Day on Tuesday, complete with our very own pop-up Diamonique shop in London's Hatton Garden. Laura Geller celebrated her 7th anniversary with us as well and it was great to see her. Laura told me that she'll be back on QVC before Christmas on the 5th of December. 

I suppose we should mention the small point of raising over HALF A MILLION POUNDS!! It's a staggering amount of money to generate for Breast Cancer Care, so a huge thank you from everyone here for all of your support.

During the three hour event I managed to film chats with Joe McElderry, SJ from Bare Escentuals, Leighton Denny and Leslie Joseph which you can find under 'Will's updates' in QGossip..

I also got a few cheeky backstage pics - here's Claudia and Debbie just before they went on-air.

Joe McElderry's Breast Cancer Care Show performance...

Last night was our annual live Breast Cancer Care show and what a fantastic night! We raised a staggering amount of money for this great charity so a huge thank you to everyone who tuned in and got involved!

Joe McElderry closed the show for us with a stunning performance of 'Dance with my Father'. Joe was also involved in the fundraising as one of the prizes in our Breast Cancer Care celebrity auction. The amazing prize of a Joe McElderry concert in your living room was won by a very generous viewer who placed a winning bid of £6,350!

Donate online to Breast Cancer Care

We raised over £500,000 for Breast Cancer Care!

Wow, we are speechless here at Q Towers which is a rarity! Thanks to all of your support and generosity, our three-hour Breast Cancer Care event, including donations, auctions and product sales, has raised over £500,000 for this fantastic charity! A record-breaking result!

QVC has supported Breast Cancer Care since 1999 and in total we have raised a huge £4 million for this fantastic charity.

Our lovely presenter Alison Keenan was diagnosed with breast cancer in January this year and she says, "Breast Cancer Care is an incredible charity that continues to make a difference to people's lives by ensuring they never face cancer alone. The whole QVC team is incredibly passionate about their involvement, and to have achieved a record donation is greatly rewarding for everyone."
