Just to let you know...

We're sorry to let you know that Stephanie Weightman has decided to leave QVC. We'd just like to thank her for her contribution to our craft shows and will let you know when our next shows are scheduled as soon as possible.

i agree with most of the above comments -though I have never been a great fan of Dawn Bibby, her voice grates and she was full of her own self importance. leonie was an assett you should have cherished. I enjoyed v much tuning in on tues pm's but now I never know if and when craft will be show. My tip to you is keeep it real with reasonable pricing and sensible P&P. I do feel that you have left your craft viewers down

My Photo

I agree with others comments that it feels like QVC are phasing out craft altogether which would be a terrible shame. If any of the powers-that-be at QVC are reading this then please can you tell us if you are going to be stopping the craft shows. Nothing has been the same since Dawn Bibby left. Those shows were brilliant. I wasn't a massive fan of hers but you had better products, longer demos and a far greater range of products. That is what makes QVC craft so good but it's all gone down hill since DB left and now Steph has gone too what are your plans? I will never shop on the other channel as I've had bad experiences in the past but I haven't spent nearly as much with QVC as I used to as, like I've said, the range of products just isn't the same. You either need to stop craft altogether or really put some welly behind it and make it great again! Stop giving us a show here and a show there and put it on at a regular time every week. You are losing followers to other outlets and channels. Come on QVC find your A game again and I will buy!

My Photo

To be honest I much prefer Amy Shaw & Marion Emberson also imagination crafts.

My Photo

Sorry to hear steph has left but I can understand as there.is not enough craft on qvc they need a proper crafting channel like c& c Marion emberson is lovely maybe get her to do it.
You have a beauty channel so why not.

My Photo

What are qvc thinking , Stephanie and Dawn have both now left as have Rosemary who used to do the most fabulous shows and demos, Leonie and others. You dont seem to want to cater for us crafters anymore... you seem preoccupied with things like diet chef and jewelry but over the years I have spent an awful lot of money on craft from yourselves as have thousands of others but now ive opened a create and craft account because to be honest their posted rates are better most of the craft presenters are there now and so is the variety. Come on qvc get your act together.

My Photo

Over the years I have purchased many, many craft items from QVC. DB got me into crafting about 10 years ago and I love it, but Leonie and DB have left, then Rosemary Berry, then Kanban in fact the craft shows gradually got less and less. I get the impression craft is no longer important to QVC which is a shame because the quality used to be exceptional. Now Steph Weightman has left as well so it doesn't look as if craft is important to QVC any more.

My Photo

I have to agree with all the above messages, qvc is not putting any effort into craft shows, this is the way of the world now everyone crafts. If you want to keep your followers you will haveto start another channel in craft, you have a beauty one.steph was brilliant now you have lost her.back to the in my opinion the only craft show on t. v. Shame I always watched the 2hour shows with d. B. And craft day. It's a loss for qvc but I like Marion emberson keep her.

My Photo

Don't let the craft shows go QVC and please make it a regular weekly slot, like you used too. Maybe you could put the clearance show dates in an e-mail too so crafters will tune in?
I have no preferances on the show presenters as i like to see a variation and lot of ideas, old and new techniques including the Sizzix shows anmd Tim Holtz, love American craft day by far the best when Tim is guest! so come on QVC fight back, don't let craft decline! give it all a 2013 overall, more shows please.

My Photo

So sad to see her go. Ahe was brilliant, hope there's a good replacement.

My Photo

I have only just seen that Steph has gone and I am so disappointed in QVC and feel that you have let us crafters down. I was so pleased when she joined QVC because I have been a massive fan of hers for many years. I was a fan of DB until she brought her personal problems to her shows so it was such a pleasure to watch Stephs shows because she had such a bubbly personality. I wish her all the luck on the world whatever she does in the future.

My Photo

I can only agree with the other posts, not enough time given to demo items. We know its a shopping channel but if we cant find out how something works how are we supposed to buy it? Its a real shame that steph wasn't given time, dawn had a 2 hr slot each week. I started crafting 11 yrs ago after watching the shows each week. I still love craft but it seems Qvc does not?

My Photo

So totally agree, feel QVC has dumped it's loyal craft fans, who have spent much money with you over the yrs. Steph at least deserves to be in a place that values her contribution and her specialist subject. Good luck to you Stephanie. Lack of craft shows in last few wks led me to finally return to watch a C&C whole day of shows and I ordered for the 1st time in 5/6 yrs (I'm hoping it's going to be ok)

My Photo

First reaction to this news was shock, followed swiftly by disappointment Stephanie hasn't stayed longer at QVC. Can't help thinking there's something not quite right in the craft department (which seems to have followed QVC USA's footsteps). Good luck for the future in whatever you do next, Steph, and I wish you well. Where will your crafting expertise pop up next, I wonder?

My Photo

It will be nice to see Stephanie on another channel, her talents have gone to waste on QVC. To much sell, sell, sell, & not enough demo, demo, demo.

My Photo

I'm not really that surprised Stephs gone, after all what's the point of employing an expert such as she and then not letting her show her talent, which was also why Miss B left your employ. QVC, the craft industry has multitudes of followers and there is enormous potential for your company to partake but you seem intent on wasting the opportunities given. Although I still watch your other programmes I lost interest in your craft shows when it became obvious that you hadn't changed your modus operandi with regard to craft demonstrations and yet your household and kitchen equipment get full workouts.

My Photo

I am sooo dissapointed that Steph is going but I have noticed a very sad decline in crafting in general on QVC, which is a real shame as i got into craft a few years back through watching the great Dawn Bibby. Even though Steph was great i sometimes had the feeling that her heart was not in it, so i am not entirely surprised she has left. QVC have a real opportunity to showcase some really great craft items but this does not appear to be high on their list of agendas. i have to agree with the other reviewer that p/p is a ridiculous price, especially in relation to other channels. May i suggest a cap price for multiple items, especially appreciated in these difficult economic times. Also what has happended to the scrapbook shows, i really loved those. There are some great products in this country and USA , where scrapbooking is very popular. Lastly i would like to wish Steph all the best and i am sure she will pop up on our screens very soon as she is brilliant at what she does.

My Photo

Stephanie leaving just illistrates exactly what QVC really thinks about crafting. QVC initially inspired me 7years or so years ago and that's why I started crafting but not anymore. Maybe it's not 'sexy' enough!! Anyway good luck Stephanie, I'm sure you will appear on our screens elsewhere.

My Photo

i agree with the above, must have been sudden since in the clearance shows we were told craft would be back in its reg slots as from mid jan. I really feel disappointed that qvc cant get it together i watch and buy on almost every craft show hope this isnt a sign that craft is leaving qvc ?

My Photo

I for one am glad Steph has gone maybe we might start getting some better quality products again, as they have been lacking of late and there is some lovely stuff out there but C&C seems to beat them to it come on QVC get your act together

My Photo

Can't believe you've let such a valuable asset slip through your fingers QVC, . Your channel was the reason I got into crafting , unfortunately the last few years, you have let your craft followers down badly, especially on your pricing and p&p. when Stephania joined I started watching your craft hours again, but sadly they were too few and far between, it just seemed that all you wanted to do was sell the product rather than showcase them as they do on that other well known channel.. Please give us back our regular craft time and allow for even letting your expert show what can be done with the tools of their trade ,even if it means spending the whole hour on just a couple of items that can be used together.. Okay rant over! I will continue to watch other QVC shows as I love your cooks essentials and
Northern Nights (which in mho cannot be beaten)
Regards
Kath

what a sad day. Just as we were getting used to Stephs smiley face she's going. I hope she turns up on another channel. QVC tend to forget the loyal crafters who have dealt with them for years. Lets hope you can get another crafter soon!!!. GOOD LUCK STEPH WHEREVER YOU ARE.

My Photo

So sorry Steph is leaving, I have really enjoyed her crafting shows. I wish her every success in her new ventures.

My Photo

well i dont think qvc have enough craft on .so im not surprised

christine

My Photo

that was quick. I get confused with who is on what channel now days. well good luck to her xx

My Photo

It's a shame, Steph could have been such an asset to craft on QVC. Can't help but think she wasn't given space to shine. But maybe QVC format isn't able to do that. Hoping to see her back on our screens maybe elsewhere very soon.
