The winner of our Garden Inspirations competition is...
Thanks to everyone who entered our Garden Inspirations competition with photos and stories about all of your inspirational gardens. We've loved seeing and reading them all!
But there could only be one winner and our garden experts Richard Jackson and Matthew Biggs had a tough decision to make!
After much discussion and deliberation, they decided on their favourite inspirational garden which is 'My beautiful garden' which belongs to Roslynne Cooper. Congratulations Roslynne! We will be going to film her garden soon so if you tune into our October shows, you'll be able to see it for yourselves!
Take a look below at some of the pictures of 'My beautiful garden' and read her story here...
The design of the garden has evolved over the years. It started with us laying a full lawn and over the years this has got less and less, making room for my passion of plants.
Around 16 years ago I started entering local garden competitions and was to my surprise quite successful. I was lucky enough to meet the late wonderful Yorkshire gardener Geofery Smith who visited my garden and also Shefalli Ozo filmed in the garden for BBC weather.
My one ambition is to be accepted into the NGS garden scheme to raise money for charity and also in memory of my late Father who helped my husband lay the turf but sadly never saw the garden develop. We often joke saying he's looking down as we cut away the turf to make new changes. I love to watch Richard Jackson as he brings lots of wonderful plants from top nurseries and expert guests also his Flower Power is the best plant food I have ever used."
