Lulu is currently entertaining crowds with her 'Here come the girls' concert in London. We caught up with her to find out about her pre-stage beauty routine and to discover what she wants for Christmas this year...
Plus, we're eagerly awaiting Lulu's TSV this Friday 9th October - check back here for Lulu's expert tips.
Describe your beauty ritual before you go on stage?
My beauty ritual is part of my complete pre-show ritual, which involves lighting some great candles, turning on some music, drinking hot tea and getting ready.
On stage, we wear heavier makeup then we ever would in real life, so cleansing the skin and staying hydrated becomes even more important for me.
Aside from that, I follow my normal Time Bomb routine:
1. I clean my face with Take Off Time Cleanser and then I apply the Youth Juice Oil and Glory Days Day Cream.
2. I apply my foundation, concealer and rouge.
3. I have a three-step system to make my lips look plump. I line my mouth with a nude lip pencil, followed by a pink lipstick and lipgloss.
4. I do my eyes last by applying mascara, eyeliner and, depending on my mood, a highlighting eyeshadow.
5. Then I do my hair, and it's show time!
What do you want to find under the Christmas tree this year?
Barack Obama haha! I’ve said that every year but it hasn’t happened yet. My son Jordan and daughter-in-law Alana are expecting a baby, so a healthy baby is all I would like on Christmas Day.
Tell us about a glamorous Chistmas party you've been to...
Sharon and Ozzie Osbourne threw a fabulous party in a house in London a few years ago for all their british friends. It was sumptuous, glamorous and funny. Sharon looked so regal, mind you she always does. There were big fires, holly and Christmas trees in every room with decorations up the stairs.
Who are the biggest stars you've ever worked with and what were they like?
I've worked with The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Elton John, Stevie Wonder... the list is endless! What they all have in common is their unbelievable talent, so I feel very privileged.
