As part of Beauty Month, we've launched a brand-new show Meet the Beauty Experts and it's third show is airing this Sunday 19th July at 4pm.
We caught up with Monne and ghd from the third show to get their top tips and advice on featured products...
Monne on Express Tan Liquid Duo
This is one of the orginal items from the range and is great for creating an all-year holiday glow.
How to apply to your face:
- Simply add a few drops into your favourite moisturiser or sunscreen and apply. It's that simple to add a little color to your face throughout the year.
- Wear disposable rubber gloves or apply with a sponge to the desired area. You can also add to your body moisturiser and control the level of colour simply by adding more or less liquid.
Key benefits:
- Offers long-wearing coverage that fades naturally like a sun tan
- Helps eliminate the appearance of pigmentation, age spots and stretch marks
- Doesn't clog the pores and is suitable for oily and acne skin types.
The result is simply gorgeous!
ghd hairstylers are perfect for creating a host of fun and sexy styles, but intense heat is not always your hair's best friend. So, here are my top tips to keep it protected and looking its best...
Make sure your hair is completely dry
It's essential to have dry hair before you use your ghd styling irons. As it’s easy to mistake warm hair for being dry, wait a little after hairdrying.
Ensure your styling products have also dried before you use your styling irons. If not they can build up on your stylers causing them to stick when pulled through your hair. This can then cause your hair to stiffen, loosing its natural look
Always use a thermal protector
It's so important to protect your hair ready for styling as the heat can take away its moisture. Follow this routine to keep your hair protected:
1. Condition your hair after washing
2. Blot dry with a towel (not too rough as it can damage your hair cuticles)
3. Apply a light misting of a thermal protector - use 4/5 pumps from a good distance (not too close)
4. Put your head forward and run your fingers through it
5. Then you can blow-dry your hair before styling it
If hair cuticles break, through heat for example, they will not reflect as much light and so your hair will not shine as much.
How to store your stylers
Most people wrap the cord around the irons. Don't do this as it can damage the cord! Simply loosely loop the wire without stressing it at all. A heat-protective bag would also be recommended.

Hi Alison, Im a 27 year old female and I have just started my daily skin care routine. im using Soothing Chamomile Cleanser ,Soothing Apricot Toner and the pro collagen marine cream. I have sensitive skin which is prone to acne and lately I have been getting spots around cheeks. Is it because I have started using these products that i am getting spots?
I have also purchased the Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash but I dont really know when to use it. If im cleanser my face do I still need to use the Face Wash?

Hi Alison,
Since hitting the menopause 6 years ago my face has become very red especially around my cheeks and mouth.
I've tried concealers, pale foundations, and even white face powder, but nothing seems to hide the redness. I also use Gatineau and Decleor clensers and toners and the Gatineau DefiLIFT 3D Resculpting Lift Cream.
Are there any products in the wonderful ranges you use that could possibly help me out.
Thanks

I recently had a bad fall and had to have 19 stitches to my face. I have not been out yet as I feel so self conscious. Obviously, I will have to go out at some point but I woudl appreciate your views as to what products I could use to minmise scarring and to camoflauge what scarring I have/ will have. Many thanks

hi alison
can you recomend a product that will fade freckles.i have natural red hair and have always hated freckles . regards janet

Hi, I have typically red head skin, pale freckles a few wrinkles at 49 but it's more important to me that I have healthy, fresh looking skin than if I have a wrinkle or two. Having used Liz Earl superskin oil and moisturiser for many months although my very dry skin felt much better I had large pores. I am trying Decleor from the TSV, neroli, hydrafloral and baume essential.
The texture of my skin and the size of my pores has definately improved but I don't think that I am quite there. Can you suggest what to use to boost the moisture aspect of the regime a bit more please.

Hi Alison,
I have incredibly oily skin and have read lots of reviews raving about fabulous results achieved with various Decleor products.
WHY BUT WHY though isn't there a comprehensive try me kit for oily skin?
(I notice there are many for other skin types)
It would be fabulous to have included in the 2 piece matt skin collection a mini ylang ylang aromessence and a mini baume essential.
I would adore to try these products in a mini affordable kit as unfortunately they are a little pricey for me to buy them all individually.
PLEASE,PLEASE use your powers to bring about a kit such as this!

Hello Alison
I am a complete devotee of Laura Gellar makeup. I am very pale and her foundation and baked powders suit me like no other. As I am so pale it follows that my eyelashes so long are pale too (I do dye them) and I wear mascara oddly enough the Mascara in Laura's range is the only thing that I find disaappointing. My eyes are greenish and I would love to know what colour would flatter them most. I have the perfect foundation and lip products from Laura and some eyeshadow but which colour would you suggest. I am 56 and I have a decent skin as I have looked after it even though my health is not too good causing me to take a lot of medication, My confidence is not good and without a makeover from you advice on eyeshadow would be great
Thanks
Jane

Hiya Alison, I recently bought the TSV from Decleor. I love all the products but find my makeup slides off when i wear the neroli oil and hydra floral moisturiser. I apply them as directed but within an hour of putting my foundation on it is slipping off. Please advise as i love the way the decleor products feel.
