As part of QVC's new partnership with Woman magazine, we met up for a coffee with their editor Jackie Hatton.
Here she talks about credit crunch beauty tips, upcoming trends and the person she'd most like to interview...
How would you describe your own beauty regime?
I've got really dry skin, am 45-years-old and have really hit the 'age wall'. I force myself to drink 8 glasses of water a day - even though I hate water!
I'm now much more careful with my cleanse, tone and moisturising regime, which I was guilty of not doing when I was younger. It's all about finding a routine and sticking to it, you'll see the benefits after 3-4 weeks.
I think sleep is really important too. I know we all lead busy lives, but if you can kick back for a 20-30 minute catnap, you'll feel better for it.
I've got three sons all in their late teens, and I've told them how important it is to moisturise around their eyes. My words must have had an effect because the other day I caught my 18-year-old son in front of the mirror... putting on moisturiser around his eyes!
Do you have any beauty tips?
I've got one tip which is peculiar but I swear it works. Put peppermint tea bags on your eyes to refresh them - they're fantastic!
Pop your used peppermint tea bags in the fridge for half and hour. Place them on your eyes for 15 minutes and they'll feel really revitalised - it doesn't matter how heavy the night before was! Not bad for a credit crunch beauty tip!
What are the upcoming beauty trends?
The autumn colours are a bit bolder than normal this year, with lots of metallics, greens and blues (including blue eye shadow which if you grew up in the 70s you thought you'd never go back to!).
I used to get worried when I heard the words 'metallic', 'sparkle' and 'make-up', thinking it was fine if you were in your teens or early 20s, but once you got beyond that you couldn't really pull it off.
But you can, as long as you take one aspect of the trend. If you want the look, don't go crazy with metallics all over your eyes, go for something a little more subtle instead. Perhaps just on your eyelid.
So I would say that if you love make-up and want to run with a bit of sparkle and metallics, there's no age barrier, it's all about getting the balance right.
Who would you most like to interview and why?
Probably Fern Britton because she's quite a private person and really values her family time. She said that was one of the reasons she gave up This Morning. She does a very limited number of interviews, and yet she's someone I feel I know everything about.
I only met her once when she came in to IPC where I work. She was incredibly professional, very nice, much smaller than I thought she was going to be. I think she's an interesting and complex woman.
On a personal level, one of the blokes from Lost would be quite nice! Josh Holloway or someone like that - a quick trip to Hawaii for an interview before the series finishes would be lovely.

why not have advice on how to find clothing & styles for people who had surgery for cancer which left the person with a bigger tummy for example( alarge hernia which further surgery cannot decrease) or other disfigurement which normal of the peg clothes can't disguise. maybe this type of thing is not possible , both men& women would be interested.
this is just a thought but important
thank you
